Thank you Kristin that video about your top 10 used colours is so informative and very glad you shared it. The way you put the complimentary colours with each colour is so useful as I am just starting out. I loved the lil landscape too 🥳

I started attending a watercolour class 2 weeks ago and the colour theory lesson was very confusing (warm palette and cold palette) but your colour theory is what I needed to understand clearly how they are created. I love your teaching method and will be following your classes eagerly. G'day from Sydney Australia.

In typical color mixing... we have a cool and warm of each primary for mixing. In this, I'm wondering if there is a warm and cool version of cyan, magenta, and yellow. What the paint colors are exactly for the palette. The issue is I've been trying to mix magenta, but it can't be mixed exactly. You can get versions in the same realm but not exactly magenta. I thought this color theory might work better for me. I'm still learning though.

Thanks so much, this was really helpful and I love the bit at the end about turning them into pictures. I'm off to spend time with my grandchildren in a couple of weeks and look forward to trying this with them

Hi! The video was awesome! This might be a silly question but, would the colors behave the same way if I were using acrylics or even oil paintings? Thank you so much!!

For additive (RGB)! Their 12 colors are... 1. Red = Magenta + Yellow 2. Orange = Red + Yellow 3. Yellow = Red + Green 4. Chartreuse = Yellow + Green 5. Green = Yellow + Cyan 6. Spring Green = Green + Cyan 7. Cyan = Green + Blue 8. Azure = Cyan + Blue 9. Blue = Cyan + Magenta 10. Violet = Blue + Magenta 11. Magenta = Blue + Red 12. Rose = Magenta+ Red When it's subtractive (CMY), it's actually reversed, but still the same colors! Hope this helps! 😊

My a.d.d. and dyslexia had my brain shooting Sparks in all different directions watching this. (I guess that's why learning painting techniques is so difficult to me) This content is such useful information when you're learning to paint. I'm going to save this video and try to memorize it.
