I love these journal paintings and I am really hoping you continue them. They are just the perfect size and are not intimidating and your instructions are perfect! Thank you so much!

Talking about how there are really only a few large branches shooting off the main trunk was so helpful. Thank you! I

Hi Shana, just found your channel & boy was I missing a trick🤔 Now I'm filling my sketchbooks like a loon with your beautiful tutorials😊 I almost gave up painting with watercolours because I couldn't understand water/paint control! You have opened up a whole new world to me and although I'm no expert, learning to use my sketchbook without feeling I was wasting my paint/water & time has indeed lowered my stress levels 100%. Thank you so much for taking time out to teach us all so appreciated. Sending you & everyone reading this, blessings & light and may you all have a paint-filled happy day, take care y'all from the UK!🥰 ❤😊😍

Another good tutorial! I wasn't very successful however getting the variation in values you did just by adding water to the sap green. I had to add some payne's gray. The same was true with the brown but i had better luck with the reds. I'm using Winsor & Newton Cotman colors that I think are good quality. Could it be the quality of my paper? The paper in my journal isn't as high quality as I like to use. I have a better quality journal on my wish list!

Windsor and Newton Sap Green in the Cotman line is definitely a lighter green. Some brands colors are slightly different. The Cotman paints are great student grade paints but may take a little more layering to get the saturation you want.
