It's never too late for Autumn colors. I don't experience the changing/falling leaves where I live now so I enjoyed this! Thanks!

A little too soft and wishy washy for my taste but the techniques are fantastic. Learned a lot, thank you

I love watching your videos! This would be a fun painting to do; sadly I'll have to wait for next fall since all the leaves are covered with a pile of snow! I may try this with some of the artificial decorative leaves I have stashed away. Keep the videos coming!

Jean, I love how you think/work... it seems effortless and playful. Such spirit! I did collect a lot of beautiful leaves in the fall and now I'm trying to remember what heavy book I put them in. And is that a ruling pen I see off to the side? I haven't seen one in 30 years! It was the best instrument for drawing rules of any width, back in the day when cut & paste actually meant cut & paste :)

Hi Debra. Thanks for the lovely comments. Much appreciated. I use the ruling pen to make fine lines in watercolor and also with masking fluid.

Love this,too bad our leaves are all buried under the snow but do you think it would work with artificial ones?
@JeanLurssen4 жыл бұрын
You will only know if you try it.

Tried this with pressed leaves, but they seemed to have a waxy cuticle which made the paint bead and run off. Any suggestions?
@JeanLurssen4 жыл бұрын
Try different types of leaves using the back side of the leaves for texture. Some leaves don't work and others do.

Lovely. I feel very inspired to give it a try. Can I ask if you diluted the paint you put on the leaves or used it straight from the tube? Thanks.
@JeanLurssen4 жыл бұрын
I diluted the paint with some water Michele.
