Watercolor Sketching On Location with Marco Bucci

Artist Marco Bucci received a package of art goodies from us, including our new Travel Series line of watercolor papers. Marco took the supplies to the great outdoors and created two fantastic on-site watercolor sketches.

Marco Bucci it's a greater artist! His videos are very educational and fun! So bad here in Brazil it's very difficult to find the Strathmore art supplies...but this video is amazing! Keep going!

Wow - fun and inspirational video. Already love Strathmore pads and cards/postcards. Did all my Christmas cards this year using Strathmore. Will be getting myself some of these travel pads and journals.

Great paintings and those sketch books look really good. But I just don't get why they dropped the delivery on his head. It just seemed utterly unnecessary and extremely dangerous. He got knocked out unconscious and probably got a concussion. That's really crazy. Sorry, I just felt like I had to say something about it. Other than that, very good video. Take care.

Actually lots of artists have kinda messy palettes! Watercolors and gouache can be activated easily so instead of washing them off and waste them, they let them dry. Often, it’s also a stylistic choice: especially if they wanna create the “muddy” effect and what matters is not getting the “clean” color but being able to work on the warm vs. cool colors. Efficiency over cleanliness I guess~
