Loved this tutorial and appreciated your tip on using tape to add in the snowflake line that was inadvertently erased. Your statement “let watercolor be watercolor” resonates. I think it is what makes this medium so unique. Thank you, Rick. I enjoyed every Christmas card you did! You are an amazing teacher. Merry Christmas!

Beautiful card Did you know that all snowflakes are 6 corners? Not 8. This is how water molecular crystallize

Love the card series. Am a fan of all your tutorials, especially your beginners , they're one of the reasons I paint. Your materials list is having some issues, may I ask what masking tape you use? Rice tape is no longer available.

I need to go through my material page. It appears there have been some changes in availability. I use "Xfasten" drafting tape which I buy on Amazon.

Thanks Rick. I put masking fluid on the Arteza 100% cotton cards and it just ripped the paper to shreds on removal. Had to cut some good paper for masking. Wonder if this this happened to others?

I worked on Strathmore cards. They seem to hold up well.
