this is exaclty what I needed! thanks for explaining not only how to do it but how I need to think. I obviously have an idea of what Flat wash is but i forget about it the minute I start painting and I never conect shapes, and I never abstract them :)

Hi Nina. I just subscribed to your channel and am enjoying your teaching style. I have a question though abou this video. What is the difference between the outcome of you "multiple color" demonstration and your "controlled soft edge" demonstration. I understand that you changed the mixtuore consistency, but other than you painting in the vertical in the "controlled soft edge" demo, I don't understand the difference in the outcome. Thanks!

Hey Nina! I'm very interested in subscribing to your patreon. In this video, I loved how you described which colors you mixed together and the water to paint ratio that you load into your brush. Do you go into this much detail for your patreon tutorials? I am looking for as much guidance as I can get as I am new to water colors. :)

Hi Elizabeth. Yes, this is my typical explanation of mixes that I do on Patreon. I usually put this in writing on screen as well. I try my best explaining as much as possible in demonstrations, quite often also why you need a particular mix (thickness/darkness/warmness etc)
