I loved how you showed how to fix some of the bleeds that has came into the other one a little too much. Perfect timing with back to school. I might do this one for my kids teachers for a back to school card. 🍎🍏

Hello Emma, I'm new to watercolor and have been watching your wonderful videos for the past couple of months. I love your tutorials. You've been an inspiration to me, because I never thought I could paint at all! I'm finally taking the plunge (in my mid 60's). I guess it's about time! My apologies for not subscribing sooner. Thank you so much for sharing and teaching! Your baby son is absolutely adorable, too! Loved this "apple" video--Delicious!

Hey Liz! I'm 58 years old and just binging on Emma's Tutorials tonight. Paper and paint are waiting in the craft room for daylight to return. We'll see how things translate from video into my twitching hands tomorrow.

So nice. I love that some of your videos are outside the floral box because it pushes me to do something different, like your animal videos (please do a dog, like a German Shepard face). Will try these apples for sure.

I sometimes find it helpful to practice parts of a picture separately, so paint nothing but leaves on a sheet until you get comfortable then add them to flowers

Thanks. Saunders Waterford if the same weight does not warp as badly as Arches. But it's easier to find Arches at a great price if I wait for a good sale. Guess I'm weird. I don't really l like Arches as SW is more forgiving for a beginner like me.
@fllini995 жыл бұрын
annette fournier I’ve never tried SW. Is it brighter white than Arches? I still haven’t found my home paper.
@joyousruby29675 жыл бұрын
Yes..I prefer S Waterford..comes in high white .which I havnt found in arches!?.
@annettefournier96555 жыл бұрын
@@fllini99 You can get it in bright white or natural. I get mine off Amazon .

Do you wet your paints in your palette before you start painting?

Mastering the Detour yes, to activate watercolours you wet them first. I only wet the colours I’m using as I go.

Great video..thanks..do you really think Arches stays wet longer!? As I love. Wet in wet..but it still dries faster than yours seems too? ...Saunders do a high white. Love it..for that..🙄

@bryanlogan54285 жыл бұрын
Why do you have "professional" by only a few of the paints?
@EmmaLefebvre5 жыл бұрын
Bryan Logan because them I got them in a watercolour kit a while ago
@bryanlogan54285 жыл бұрын
Ok, I thought maybe in Certain colors it was necessary to get the pro. My name is Brenda btw, I’m on my husbands account, lol. So you’re upgrading as you run out? I’ve enjoyed watching your videos. I tried the apples then watched your ‘it’s not you’ video and feel better, ordered the Arches. Thanks for taking the time to do the videos and answer questions.
@EmmaLefebvre5 жыл бұрын
Bryan Logan not really upgrading as I run out. I only buy the cotman ones... I can’t really afford a whole set of professionals... especially just to use for tutorials. I only have some professional ones to try out. Didn’t see too much of a difference to be honest
