Emma, I love all of your videos but illustrations are perhaps my favorite. The accordion sketchbooks are amazing. Imagine a shelf filled with different sketchbooks from which, three to five are randomly selected, opened and then children use their imaginations to make up a story that links them together. Sketchbook themes - boardwalk next to the harbor, beach, under the sea, homestead, carnival, camping, space, rain forest, the wild west …. endless possibilities! ❤️

I loved painting the flower shop, one of my vary favorites, excited to do the bakery shop! I have been using the watercolor 5x7 cards, have not had the courage to use one of the books! I’ve painted over 300 cards, some I send to family and friends, but have most in an album! It has been wonderful having you as an inspiration and instructor! So glad I found you during Covid! What a blessing you have been to so many! Thank you!

This is SO Awesome! I've looked at these books, but, just had no idea if I would even use it. I ❤️ your little book, I may do night seasons on the reverse of your small book. But- gosh- the possibilities are endless. You could do towns from around the world- or, farm to industry... endless! I've exhausted my budget for a moment-... But- will try these Etcher labs papers Soon! Thank you for sharing... love this storefront too! ... and- another idea- big city to small town storefronts across a booklet... Those are pretty ingenious format now that I've seen it used...

Maybe this is obvious but I think on one of the 4 sides between the 2 sketchbooks, you should probably do florals. I like the idea of various different flowers. It could be a continuous morphing floral composition, or just single flowers, A rose, a tulip, a lily, and so on.

Thank you for this video. I am a beginner, getting very tired of painting flowers, and starting on buildings from my photos. Your comments on shading, how and why, are very helpful. I have always loved accordion books and would love to see more, such as how to create a continuous scene like your four seasons book. Do you plan the flow from one panel to the other, or do you plan the whole book first? By the way, I absolutely LOVE your bamboo Craftamo brushes!
