Princeton snap brushes are now my favorite brushes. I am a beginner and the brushes work wonderfully for me. Thank you for recommending them.😃👍

Hi! Great video!!! You always mention Arches watercolor paper and I had never tried it. Since I paint primarily in journals I have used Strathmore, Canson, Stillman and Birn, Handbook, Bee paper, and Jane Davenport's journals. I recently bought some Arches and I am amazed!! What a difference! Not that I didn't believe you-- and every other watercolor artist out there-- I was just stuck in working in bound journals!! It definitely pays to use the best materials!!!!

Really had fun with this. First time I have actually painted along with a video. Thanks so much for this tutorial. I learned a lot about layering color.

Thank you for extending Autumn! It's wonderful to get to preserve a bit of it through painting. We haven't had our first hard frost, so the colors aren't quite peaking in S.E. Wisconsin. Every video you do teaches me a bit more - thank you!

Love them. Great ideas on how you just dab on the colors and let dry then go back and add more colors. Very pretty.

Good lesson on building up color intensity by layering. Too often I try to get too much done color and detail-wise with just one pass. The trees really came alive with that second layer - and still just dabbing!

Sweet trees, Emma! And for anyone who gives you static about how you use your brushes? You're an adult, don't need to be spoken down to. Plus! These brushes are very affordable, so they're watercolor "tools" not the crown "jewels!" (Love it when I accidentally rhyme!). I'd love to learn perspective with these trees--the ones in back and how to build them coming forward. Perspective always eludes me. Thank you! Fanna Turano Denver, CO

Emma, I have a couple questions. First, I wanted to tell you that here in Tennessee there are a couple of trains that take people on leaf-peeping rides. I'm like you, fall is my favorite time of the year. Now, I'm trying to watch as many of your videos as I can. With trees, do you ever use a sea sponge to make the leaves? And next, what is the best way to store my m brushes? Should I put them back in their original case or is it okay to just leave them laying on the table, or even brush side up in a jar? I really enjoy your tutorials and I apologize if you've already addressed these questions. I haven't seen all of your videos yet. 😄

Hi Emma, can I ask you, do you have a good singing voice? Because once or twice while you were talking, I swear it sounded like you were about to burst into song? Am I wrong? Because for the briefest of moments, you sounded very sing songy and it was really lovely! By the way, if you use a damaged bristle brush, or one with stiff bristles, they are great for doing great trees with. Just a little tip. I loved todays lesson and will be practicing your method Emma. You are such a good teacher. You teach in a measured and calm style which is very relaxing and that's just great for me and many others I'm sure. Thanks again for posting this lesson. From a fan in South Wales. UK.

Nicely done, it would be nice to see against a sky background or some type of existing color instead of white. Thank you for the video.
