"Delicate" isn't a word I usually associate with pumpkins, but these are - so sophisticated and lovely, rather than bright and garish! Also, such a great lesson in perspective to get the proper curves towards the back so that the pumpkins appear nicely rounded rather than flat.

Ah thank you Kim. I wanted to do a slightly more refined version before we hit the halloween content! There will be some spooky ones coming soon!

This was so fun! I didn’t think I could do a “patch”, so I started with one pumpkin. So cute! Thank you for these tutorials. I’m having a great time watching them. Not only are you a master of art, but you are also a master teacher. Not an easy thing to do, and you do it so easily. Thank you again. “See you next time” 😊

I've only got as far as episode 4 painting along with you but couldn't resist skipping ahead and watching this and the autumn images video. You are truly inspirational and have given me the confidence I lack to just have a go and not beat myself up when it isn't perfect. Thank you so much.

Tracy that is so wonderful to hear. Painting is all about happy accidents. Building confidence in painting and illustration is the main aim behind my patreon classes if you ever want to take your creative development up a notch. xx

OH!! HOW MANY ADORE THIS PAINTING!!!! AND PUMPKINS!!!! ( Anytime of year!) So Warm, Cheerful and Magical!!! Yeah,, not everyone gets an opportunity to visit a pumpkin patch, unless you grow your own! I have done so on rare occasions.. Usually its because they were ' Volunteer' seed that came from a bird of squirrel as a gift to me for feeding my backyard ' Friends' lol! Unfortunately, they get attacked by the vine borders as the fruit are coming on..But I often got at least one or two to love and put on the porch for a bit..! THANK YOU for doing this! And I loved the Cinderella movie as well! Funny, I was humming part of that tune yesterday or the other. Trying to recall which Disney movie, then DUH!!! You called it!! As a kid and adult, until the past several years I always loved playing on Halloween.... But things change....At least I can enjoy it at my leisure and admire other peoples art and learn from them to inspire my own renderings! Cheers!!🤗🎃🎃🎃🍁🙋- Mindi. Oh,, your leaves technique was just what I was looking for to make those beautiful illuminated art vines and to mix in the Florentine style also..💚 I will have to look thru your uploads to see if you have done any other veggies, like onion, celery, carrots etc...

Is there a type a brush I should be using to do swirls? I was using a round #4 Silver Black Velvet brush and my bristles separated making a wispy mess.

I like the smallest 4/0 pointed round that I use in the video. Links in the episode notes

I enjoyed the lesson, but the camera angles/editing were off at times and that’s distracting. 🙁
