Very nice! I love how you left some white paper below the initial trees to insert some tree trunks. It really helps them to stand out. I also love the muted trees way in the background. I'm going to try this.

Another marvellous pic, thanks. Could this type of technique also use pan watercolours, or are these more suited to use with drier paper? Reason for asking is that I can never really 'scrub' up enough colour to do wet-in-wet justice.

Thanks William. That’s a very good point, I generally use pans when painting outdoors on smaller sizes, mainly because of their portability. At home I use tubes, as it’s easier to pick up more paint.
