Hi Mrs M. In answer to your question from the first part, I'm a long time watcher of Mr M's channels but have started watching yours for the art and it's a lovely relaxation watching somebody else's process. Also fascinating to see 2 different processes/results at the same time. Btw if Mr M fancies meeting up here in the lakes for a spot of plein air sketching drop me a line, if he's up for it. Hope you keep on with the videos.

So glad you did another vid! And lovely that you made Paul a space too. I liked the way this one was filmed :) And I came and watched because of seeing you on Pauls vids and liking you but I subbed because I love crafting. I want to be more 'Arty' because it seems like the type of thing I could do while out but drawing/painting etc is something I never really learned how to do! Loved both paintings!

Well done Jo, you are going to be a rising KZbin star. I will be honest that I subscribed because of Paul’s video but you have pleasantly surprised me. You both come across so easy going and relaxing to watch. I’m probably like Paul having not picked up a brush since school days but I did enjoy painting back then and was improving. Not so sure I could these days possibly fear of being rubbish. I got some cheap paints from Lidl’s centre isle many years ago with the intention of having a go but never actually got around to it. Keep the channel and going Jo!

Silly KZbin didnt push this at first!! anyway Jo, back again for your second dive into International stardom :) Here's my take on why this works. For all those single people out here, its like being invited round for a coffee and chit chat. Its just lovely. Thanks

Loving the multi camera setup. The switching between angles worked perfectly. The raised textures 3D style of painting you like to use gives the painting extra life. An artist I like the work of, Kerry Darlington, makes use of this style with resins. And I was waiting for "I could store some of my gear in these boxes..." from Paul during the tour of his area. 🤣

Once again that was fun as shit! 😁 Don't be afraid to cuss!! When I saw the thumbnail I was all prepared to chastise you for trying to make a competition out of art but luckily that was just a really good albeit clickbaity thumbnail! See you are crushing the KZbin thing! I enjoyed the two perspectives on the same image. Different styles and different techniques and different mediums make for interesting and unique paintings!! So some critique for Paul 🙂while figuring out how to do something your own way is admirable there is never any issues with learning some proper technique or theory before you go all rogue!! You are correct in your assessment of watercolors, it is all about the layers. You really should take a gander at Jo's color wheel because knowing some color theory will make watercolor painting much easier. Obviously I'm sure you know the primary colors and mixing blue and yellow makes green and mixing red and yellow makes orange but you should look at the complimentary colors on the color wheel. You get nice grays by mixing compliments (yellow and purple, blue and orange, green and red). And you can mix directly on the paper by using transparent washes or you can mix on the palette by mixing the paint before you put it on the paper. And also use a scrap of paper to test your colors before you put it on your painting because watercolors are unforgiving. You can rewet and dab out mistakes with a paper towel but some pigments stain and you will be SOL trying to lift them back off the paper. I could go on and on (can you tell I have a degree in art and I've been a teacher?) but I'll stop! Oh and go to JustinGuitar Songs and learn Wonderwall it is an easy song! 😛 kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5zNl6RnnruCfaMsi=9C5_zdEjfGf31Erx I love the modeling paste texture in acrylic painting!! I also love acrylic because once it is dry you can go back in again and again and also paint white highlights in, which you can't do with watercolor!! Jo I think you have an inherent understanding of perspective because your flowers were wonderful. As they receded into the background they got smaller. I've always struggled with perspective on buildings and that is more of a drawing thing than a painting thing but some simple practice sketches of cubes drawn in perspective will give you enough to get the paintings part down. Best part of the video was the side eye you were shooting the camera when Paul was going off about something! 😂 I look forward to more videos!!

Fun stuff! Paul was right about your flowers, very nice. I can tell right away that you have a good eye for color, Jodi. You can use that innate skill for a bit of perspective. Stronger color where you want the eye to go in your composition and flatter, duller values in the foreground, distance and edges of your work. Luv it!

Hello Jo, I was very happy to see a new video from you so soon! It was again very entertaining and funny. There were some funny moments but my personal favorite was opening the brush package 😂. I've always painted here and there as time permits and it's just nice to see what and how others do it. Your technique was completely foreign to me until now. Your paintings both turned out very well 👍. I have the impression that Paul is more focused on getting as close to reality as possible and you are more focused on the feeling that comes from looking at the painting. I think both are wonderful! You also seem much more relaxed in front of the camera now, I'm proud of you for being so brave and continuing! ☺️👏
