Great footage! Although I'm not sure that scorching heat would be my thing, that certainly looks like an epic adventure. That sideways (flat?) landing at around 12:49 looked horrible! Glad to see that he didn't get hurt there! But yeah, that landing at the Fumaca (sp?) didn't seem to have gone as well, with stitches being required, unfortunately. 😞

Honest question about the kayak disguise... I barely wrapped mine. Was clearly visible as a spade kayak as the brand was readable. They just put surfboard in the system and were happy no questions asked. Do they really care? Any instance of am airline not taking the kayak? I tried with united and latam. No issues so far.

I've had one or two airlines flatly refuse, but this was quite a few years back. It's always worth checking. There's nothing worse than being refused at the airport and having to decide between leaving your boat behind or paying for a whole new flight with a different carrier. Either way hurts.
