Very Helpful Video!! Everything is explained SO well and you talk nice and clearly (and slower than most people)..which for ME helps..(I'm old!! LOL) Looking forward to LOTS more videos...interested to learn how you color and SHADE with the copic markers (which I've just started purchasing) and colored pencils (which I have, but DON'T use because I don't know to use them very well...images aren't shaded as I'd like..just plain) Keep up the GREAT work!! Really enjoy watching the videos!!

You would definitely need something solvent-based that dries on non-porous surfaces. So I recommend StazOn (by Tsukineko) or Archival ink (by Ranger). Chalk ink would never dry on a surface that doesn't absorb it. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching. :)

Can you do a tutorial on how to stamp down clear images and tips on applying the stamp to the paper ? I've had a few rubber stamps that create that black frame where area you don't want ink to get on get's ink and appears when you stamp.

Here are a few tips for the prismacolor colored pencils. I have had mine since I was 10 years old(now I'm 44) and I never knew this. When you go to purchase individual colors, look at the end to see that the lead is centered. Some are off center pretty badly. Secondly, NEVER drop them. The lead will shatter all the way through and no matter how many times you sharpen it, the lead keeps breaking as soon as you use it. I never knew this until about a year ago.

I am very concerned about your description of StazOn ink and its classification where you have it listed under pigment ink on your paper on screen during the video. You do state that it is a solvent ink in the audio, but do not even have solvent based inks in your classifications. Please correct this so beginning crafters will not become confused. Craft Dummies 08-24-10 has an explanation that is quite good regarding StazOn solvent based inks.

Hey Reva - I'm sorry about the confusion. This video was made three years ago, so I've definitely learned some more in the past years and am sorry that the way I laid out the information in this video may be confusing. I wrote "pigment" and "stazon" at the bottom of each sheet because I was going to talk about them, not because they were the same thing, but I could see where that would be confusing to some. I'll add an annotation to the video to help clarify but do hope to make an updated version of this video someday soon since there are new inks on the market, and the Jenni Bowlin one that I show in the demo is a discontinued line. Thanks for the feedback.
