Yep, waterpik definitely won this battle. After watching about 20 videos, I'm deciding for waterpik thanks to your review. Those clean white theet and the holes in the paper of the waterpik put the airfloss down on the ground.

Same. I came here after watching other reviews, to see whether I should switch over to the air flosser. But, like you, I think I will stick with the water floss!

That the Waterpik shoots tiny holes in the paper tells all about the power of its water jets. And thus it's cleaning power.

As someone who has peridonitis and various boring dental issues I must say this water pik is a MUST. After my first clean I was able to get down to using it just once a week, unfortunately my husband broke it and now I need a new one, the only downside is the size of the tank so I'll be getting the corded one. I highly recommend this model.

@@TheFakeyCakeMaker Hey, I have a question for you. Which one is better? Waterpik or the regular string floss? I'm planning to buy a new Waterpik but I'm not sure If It's better than the regular floss or not. Or should I just stay with my regular string floss?
@nieildilsonsouza4747
@nieildilsonsouza4747 4 жыл бұрын
@@GamesLover-sj2rs it is about practicality, floss cleans better (no sane dentist/hygienist will tell you otherwise) while waterpik/airpiks will clean faster, they will not do the same amount of cleaning as floss does but they are faster on the job. if flossing is too much of a issue for you then waterkpiks/airpiks are the best option which is my case, my mouth isn't that big nor i have the patience for flossing.

When I'm at the dentist and she's using an air flosser-like instument I make painful faces, because I have sensitive teeth and gums. However the water jet instrument she uses feels okay, so if you are very sensitive (teeth and gums) buy whatever works for you.

I actually prefer the water floss, because I feel it's getting rid of debris and also disturbing soft plaque that can quickly build up. I've tried the air floss and though it's good I feel it's as powerful as the water floss.

Thank you! I didn’t understand how the Air Floss Worked. You are correct that they chose a bad name for it! I couldn’t understand why they called it an Air Flosser, when it clearly uses water. 🤷🏻‍♂️ While I am tired of filling even my countertop Waterpik, I wouldn’t feel like the Air Flosser would be Cleaning between the Gums and the Teeth as well, around the Front and the back of the Teeth, not just between the Teeth.

Really useful - I'm getting braces today which is expensive and don't want to 'waste' more money having to buy and try different portable flossers. Already have a waterpik plug in for bathroom but looking for something for lunchtimes or when I'm travelling. Many of the reviews just assume "more functionality = better" and also don't consider if the large tips of the Sonicare are nimble enough to work around braces. I really liked being able to see your plague identifier demonstration of their actual effectiveness rather than just trust someone's read out/written statement. I admired that you did this as a continuous shoot (hid nothing in edits) and got up close to the camera (never flattering). I feel I can buy with confidence now. I do a lot of sport and have been told to get teeth/gum guards. Any chance on doing a video on these products? I'm getting Damons top and bottom with bite spacers and am concerned about gum guards that can cope with biting down hard during sports or jarring during mountain biking. Have tried the cheap heat and mold options from amazon but found them too small / short to completely cover all teeth - and that was without the braces fitted. Don't want a gum guard that makes me gag or look like an idiot in the gym when I'm sqatting. Any help appreciated
@katiethehygienist
@katiethehygienist 6 жыл бұрын
I am not sure about which guard would be best for sports however I do recommend that when it comes time to getting your retainers, get the Vivera clear retainers that Invisalign makes. It is the thinnest clear one that you can wear as a retainer and guard during the day. I myself am a clencher, and will have to wear my retainer at work due to the headaches I get.

I like the waterpiks best I think but I never had the other kind. I’m almost 35 and havnt had a cavity yet. Honestly I don’t floss that much like I should though I just made that my goal lol but I’ve always brushed my teeth 2-3 times a day. Also I never went to dentist but a couple times in my life until recently. I been so lucky.

I had older Airfloss for two years and wouldn't live without it but the battery died because I used it without charging for a while. Then got Waterpik (one with cable) and my triple crown came out at second day. So I got scared and bought new model of AirFloss. Haven't used it yet, I hope it's as good as older one. I kind of liked that AirFloss caused bleeding if I don't floss my teeth for min 3 days. But it wouldn't bleed if I kept using every day. It felt like it was doing its job, keeping the gum healthy.
