Nice place. I lived in Tavernier Key at the Ocean Pointe while working on Homestead AFB for a year or so. Back then the movie True Lies was filming in the keys and they blew up the old bridge.

Yeah, real estate prices everywhere were different a few years ago. Since demand drives our market, and it's a highly sought after area, the prices reflect that. It is definitely a bummer that the Keys aren't as affordable for locals anymore. :(

Yup. 2019 it sold for $724,000. It’s been marked down to $1,399,000. More to follow. The number of listings in the keys has exploded.

If you were to sell your home, would you list it around what comparable properties have recently sold for? Or would you list it for below the market value? Demand drives the markets prices. Just because you don't like the price doesn't mean it's overpriced.
