Love this page!! The mini jello box journal is so neat. I have heard of this salad, but have not tried it. My grandma on my mom’s side I think fixed it for my mom. My mom has not tried with my brother and I. 😅

Hi Gwen. Your pages are great! I don't remember my. mom making the salad, but I'm pretty sure I had it somewhere. I never heard that name before. So funny, we've always called it "pistachio salad", I've never heard of Watergate salad...must be a regional thing. I was sure you were going to say it was something you made up, a funny take on the Waldorf salad hahhahah. That you have a recipe card with the Watergate name on it just made me laugh. We also had Ambrosia...very similar. @ 1:41 looks like your poor sewing machine really needs some attention 😂🤣😂 LOVE how filled with memories this journal is turning into for you. HI Again!! Yep, that's what mom and the recipe card calls it. I thought it was pretty funny name, until I read it came from the Watergate Hotel. lol Would you believe me if I said I "made" my sewing machine do that for a "Gothic" effect? lol Yep, don't believe it! It looks fine from the top, then I turn it over and it's a hot mess. I'm still playing with bobbin tension, rethreading blah blah blah. Thought I'd leave that card in, little spooky looking. lol Captain and Panda Jack always love a good hug! Sending one, or two, to Bitsy!

@@GwenTheTrashWitch That's fabulous ! The look is wonderful. I'll have to play around with that next time I get my machine out. Similarly, I had some workers in my house these last few months, one of them commented on "needing to remove the trim and door in my bathroom it probably has lead paint on it". Probably, but it's about six (ten???) layers down. A few of the interior doors are old enough that they have skeleton keys. I made the one in the bathroom look super old with crackle medium 😂🤣😂 (but thanked him for his concern 👍🏼)

A dish I never cared for, my kids loved it, so I always made it I thought it was nasty tasting. lol oh well at least your page turned out awesome. Tfs ❤😊

@ all is good here, sis in law had her eye surgery, so I’ve been the nurse maid with the eye drops. Have to laugh at her she hasn’t been able to see properly for about 2 yrs and the last 6 months it’s taken it’s tool on her, got the really bad cataract removed and she’s now able to see. lol she looks in the kit hen and says omg it’s so bright and clean looking, and she’s the one always telling me that I’m leaving grease everywhere. lol the past week she told me what I use to clean with don’t work it’s still greasy, lol now it’s so clean and bright, she walks into my room today and say Karen I’m so so sorry I never realized how bad and dirty everything is, and you have been scrubbing the kitchen like crazy, so she apologized for telling me what a bad job I was doing and she found out it’s been her eye sight the whole time, I just took it with a grain of salt, I do scrub it down do I miss things yep but I do my best like any one would do. lol but she’s seeing with one eye the first time in her life with out glasses she’s 63 and has worn them since she was 16 and now she can see without glasses long distance. That’s a good thing for her. Now to go to bed I’m tired after the 2 days of getting her over this eye surgery and being up at 6 am to have her at the surgeons and 24 hour check up at the same time. I’m tired. lol hugs hope your weekend Is amazing. 💜😊
