Abloys are pretty good, ABUS is good, there's a lot of good brands that make bad products though as well, some have some design oversights and exploits. Some really awesome "lock review" channels I recommend are LockPickingLawer and BosnianBill, they make videos of picking various kinds of locks and check for/abuse exploits in various models. The main reason those two brands are most of what you see at stores is because they just run the main commercial market, probably partnership with Wal-Mart, Ace, various other hardware stores, they all have the same cheap 4-pin core inside of them even the big hunky "premium" $60 products.

The can launch is absolutely amazing. From what it looks like the ultra high pressure of the water jet got into the can through the hole it made. My initial thought was that the duster would get out but those cans are nowhere near 60k psi so the hole bade by the cutter only took in water pressure. The top of the can turned into a ticking time bomb. As soon as the pressure inside the can was greater than the strength of the seal between the top of the can and the can itself, it flew off. This in turn created an equal and opposite reaction on the bottom of the can. The force pushing on the bottom of the can, guided by the ply wood and pipe strap, sent it flying so fast it crushed itself on impact. Assuming that there was roughly 60k psi applied to the bottom of the can, with the area of a standard 3 inch diameter can being around 7 square inches, you can estimate about 420 THOUSAND POUNDS of force propelling that can. **That is a maximum figure, as the real number lies at whatever pressure the top of the can failed**

I would LOVE to see what happens if you pierce one of these underwater! I think it would cause an explosion. In fact, I think the reason it shot off is because the water from the jet got inside and could not escape, and the point of least resistance was the top of it. When you mix water with something that cold and contain it, it'll blow up. Be safe if you do anything else with them!

Saskatchewan guy weighing in here- no canned air required up here for experiments with freezing things. I’ve walked outside in January shortly after a shower, and had my hair freeze into a solid helmet within about 60 seconds. Do that a few times and you’ve got a pretty good case of split ends, but I don’t think you could actually get the hair down to a temp where you could break it off while the scalp was still at a temperature consistent with being part of a live human. Steel, though does get brittle and break when it’s cold- just ask anyone who works on heavy equipment up here- failures of hydraulic cylinders and lines (both solid steel lines and steel braid hoses) go up a whole lot in the winter, along with steel cables, and things you can sometimes get away with doing with a chain in the summer, you’d better not dream of doing in the winter up here.

You might want to look at some videos where people freeze stuff in liquid nitrogen and then smash it. It takes a few minutes of sitting in it to freeze solid enough to smash. You would probably need like 10 cans of air duster to freeze anything all the way through. Also, just go buy some liquid nitrogen! It's probably cheaper by volume than air duster anyway lol.

Amusing. WHen the can was first pierced, the regular gas that's used for dusting prevented the water from reaching the propellant. The moment the pressure dropped below the pressure of the water jet, the water and propellant mixed instantly, causing the pressure spike as the propellant boils rapidly.
