Very nice video as always! One question i do have though...maybe you can answer it in the next video. Its understandable that putting a soil-rooted plant into pure Water, the roots will die due to not being prepared for that environment. But what if you place a water-rooted plant into dry soil? Are the roots able to reform themselves into "dry roots" then?

Your channel has been a revelation to me, blending detailed scientific insights with practical care tips in an incredibly accessible way. I'm gratefl for how you make complex plant functions understandable. Living in Sweden, where chemical pesticides are banned, I lose in combating pests like thrips and fungus gnats. Could you share some effective strategies for tackling these issues? Your advice would be invaluable. Thank you for your dedication and for sharing your knowledge with us.

Amazing video!! I always watch all your videos, I only was searching one point here, that one can improve roots respiration in the soil by adding ammendments like perlite. Pumice or anything else, which you still talked but for water drainage... All in all wonderful video ❤

Great explanation, like always. Still one point, I have to criticize: If I´d apply your 1-2inch rule to all my plants, I´d most properly kill many of them: My smallest pots are only 5cm, the biggest have about 100l volume... Your rule works fine for the most common pot sizes, but it has to be put in relation, if the pot is much bigger or smaller. Especially in very big pots it cam happen, that the top 10cm are bone dry, while the lower third might be soaking wet. That´s why I personally prefer a combination of finger and weight. (you can tip very big post a little to the side, if they get to heavy)

Suddenly I understand why in a fish aquarium there is some thing making bubbles. I remember asking why someone has this thing for their fish tank when fish don’t breathe oxygen. From this so much is making more sense - Especially from when I see this information someone having it seems like my same house plant in their aquarium

Can roots that were already established in soil be transplanted to water and perform the respiratory process?

Hej Do Swedish Plantguys have or work in a garden centre in Skåne. If so I was wondering where abouts you were? I know some parts of Skåne having lived a little further north in Halland.

I get this problem with my geogenanthus ciliatus. It's supposed to love water but when I water it twice a week it gets totally water logged. But maybe that's what it really wants because once a week doesn't seem to be cutting it right now. Lol.

I left my plant outside it rained all night . I brought it in and put all new soil hoping this will bring it back. All the leaves are droopy . Everyone would tell me how beautiful my plant was I’m so heartbroken 💔

Enjoying your videos. This is an interesting subject too. I do find the funny voices distracting and unpleasant.
