Waterloo Campaign 1815 C3i Game Review

I've played it only twice with another grognard and we both agreed with Matt assessment on how this relatively simple mechanic makes for a deep strategic options exploration. We both haven't yet discovered how to win with the French but we trust Mark Herman mastery as a game designer!

2019 and 2020 have provided we fans of "Waterloo" games with some absolute gems. In addition to this one, Waterloo Napoleon's Last Battle, Napoleon Returns 1815, and Napoleon Saga: Waterloo have allowed us to scratch the Waterloo itch in a variety of different complexities. Excellent review.

First to defend the positions at Quatre Bras were the Dutch and the Nassauers (Germans), not the British.

Just got this game delivered today and have enjoyed watching your take on it . I’ll be playing a few solo games , and like you am interested in following the historical movements as well as the what ifs . These magazines and games certainly are , imho , quite expensive at around £45 including delivery . I got mine from Hexasim in France . I’d be interested in opening a subscription if we could buy them at a reduced rate .

if you buy multiple they come down in price. I played around 65 pounds for 2 issues from their shop. That is 32.5 pounds per issue. Still not cheap but for an annual magazine it is not too bad. I am waiting for this year's issue to come out to get it and number 32.

No there isn't but it would be very easy to do your own house rules for it. Will this result unbalancing the scenarios? Sure but this system with fog of war I'm sure would be fantastic.
