It’s about time realised waterloo road isn’t killing anyone off the characters are leaving for other jobs or leaving because they want to. And if a character decides they leave sometimes writers and producers will use it for a death. That how we get stunts and storylines like this. The actor who plays Danny has left off his own accord because he felt his time was right and he couldn’t see himself returning in the near future.
