All the deaths broke my heart. Most of all though was Tom, Grantley's reaction killed me as Tom had done so much for him and then Grantley's death as my dad was also reliant on kidney dialysis and had kidney failure and subsequently passed away

Fantastic choices, all these deaths were so sad and incredibly moving, Maxine, Sam, Fleur, but especially Tom and Grantly. For me Tom and Grantly were the two best characters in the show, it was never the same after they left, but they have the most legacy behind them.

The one downside about Tom's death was that at his memorial no sign of Josh, Chlo, Mika, Donte, baby Izzy and Rose. Perhaps it was too much of a commute for the actors to get to Scotland. Otherwise such a hard hitting death.

I think it was to show what actually can happen and make it more realistic kids die of cancer (Sam) people have kidney problems (grantly) people get into bad relationships (Maxine) people suffer from mental health (Kyle but Tom died saving him) if you get what I mean
