I think this music video is about awsten’s fears about turning people away from the band. He’s worried when he tweets or pushes new stuff he made which is either related to the band or not, he’s worried people are just getting annoyed and will leave the fandom entirely. There’s a lot of examples throughout the video, like how the guy tries to escape, he gets annoyed that he sleeps on the couch instead of his bed, or how it shows him actually unfollowing on twitter. Then awsten chopping his foot off might show how awsten feels like he’s trapping us even though he might not want too. Basically I think the video is about how awsten thinks he’s going to drive people away from the band by tweeting a lot or caring about his music, which is unreasonable.
