It’s what you have to do in mixed. It’s just by nature that the female is targeted so the male players must take over to a certain degree. Wright lacks that ability to take over the court and so the end result speaks for itself.

@@DanielGonzalez-qk8gf Coach at my court said pros do reserves as long as the ball clears the kitchen. If it lands in the kitchen it’s a side out. Any lower level should not be calling lets.

From what I can tell yes, he is hogging a bit. But! in pickleball and in most racquet sports your non dominant side is weaker on the receive. If you observe BJ and ALW they stack so BJ always on the left. That means that anytime the ball goes down the seam its BJ's responsibility unless ALW has the obvious better angle.
