The waterview videos have been awesome, the drone is going to be such a valuable tool in future

Awesome stuff Ollie!! It gives us an insight to the sheer size of the construction work and just how long it is. Great work and flying skills.

Has nobody noticed that the camera seems to be parked on the bonnet of a truck for most of the video?

I hope it opens very soon, as now they have lights operating for the left hand turn at Great North Road and this morning at 7am it took 20 mins to move about 500 metres from Patiki Road on ramp to the lights. And it only gets busier after that time.

Wow, awesome video!! I wonder what drone was used for this!! The controller must be a real pro!

What are those weird perspective shifts between 0:20 and 0:25 or so?
@0PureEvil09 жыл бұрын
Kirill Kruger sorry a bit late, but its whats called Dolly Zoom, used alot in cinema. Looks like the drone zoomed into a wider angle shot while moving forward at the same time :)

Is the video deliberately "artistic" jerky.....or can it be smoothed out? Or maybe it's my player.... Great video....well done team.

How did you keep a connection with the drone to control it whilst underground?
@NoCredits9 жыл бұрын
Manda Jackson Connection from controller to drone is easy - just follow it. Connection with GPS is different - there was none. :)

How hard was it to get clearance to fly there?
@NoCredits9 жыл бұрын
Chris Jackson No clearance needed from CAA point of view, as neither end of the tunnel was within 4km of an aerodrome. Clearance from the site itself was just a health and safety meeting and sign off from those involved. Took a few weeks to iron out but wasn't difficult!

At 0:20 clear they flew over a house, wonder if they had permission. CAA says you not fly over private property unless you have the owners permission.

Just a shame the drone flew through the tunnel in the wrong direction as it flew northbound through the southbound tunnel.
