The work on Leicester getting promoted seemed to start within an hour if that game finishing. No one licked their wounds - very dignified.

This is the last time we will ever have a player like this in this clubs history. Players of the future will not stay 11 years and be a leader like Troy was.

Biggest Watford legend of my lifetime. I spent years as a child watching us lose to the likes of Rotherham and Walsall in the rain, battling relegation year in year out it felt like nothing good was ever going to happen to us but that goal against Leicester made all those years seem worth it and it would never have been so good it i didn’t sit through the bad times. That was the best moment of my life

Great video, really enjoyed that. Would love to see Troy back as a coach in some capacity in the future as I think he'd make an excellent one due to his football brain and his own experience of being able to maximise every ounce of his ability - priceless stuff to pass on to young players. Sadly I think he'll end up in the media (of which he'd also be very good at).

Our 2 trips to Wembley in the 2018 cup run were great memories. Deulofeu’s 2 goals and Troy’s penalty were my fondest memories as a 35 year fan. But Troy left to early in my opinion, and hope to see him back in some capacity.

As a lifelong hornet who used to work at the Vic - so much damn respect for this man, personally & professionally. Took accountability for his errors on and off the pitch, and is a role model now to troubled & talented kids alike. Not sure he would have left us for anyone except The Blues. But Troy will always be a Hornet too…

Thank you Troy and to Watford FC for this great vid. Brilliantly insightful and the interviewer did a great job with his prompts, letting Troy speak and giving us a true sense of what was going on. Glad to hear it's not the end of your Watford journey!

Book what book? Does anybody really know why he wasn’t given a new contract? He seemed to get on with the manager and is obviously an integral part of the squad. I just can’t get my head round the fact Watford let him go. Great video by the way , a very very sad day

He's written an autobiography that's being released at the end of September. He chose to leave and because he realised that he wasn't going to playing much, because of the other and new players there, and he had been a late sub in their first two league games, and wasn't there at all for the cup game against C Palace. He really wanted to be playing. It was that most specifically. It wasn't that he particularly wanted to leave or anything like that.
