You may disagree with me right now but my predictions: - This isn't going to go well. - This group of players don't have much faith in this guy, yes it's early days and it's all a bit awkward because the club thinks it's a good idea to force cameras and microphones on all the staff and a group of players who are dejected after relegation and Ben Foster's gopro. Suppression of true emotion is a real thing and hinders performance. Where can anybody feel safe or let their guard down if you insist on turning what should be a safe space into reality TV? - Rob Edwards is giving off David Brent vibes. Trying to connect with the players by talking and acting big to gain their respect. He needs to focus on them more, really take the time to understand them. Otherwise he's going to be forcing himself into a position where he needs to look like he knows what he's doing and it's all under control while simultaneously there's freefall. I'm a cool boss, I can have a laugh. I have a philosophy. The players can see through his bullshit so his best bet is to drop it now and be genuine. - The watford players need a hug. They are all capable and can absolutely hit their stride, but only if the gaffa provides space for them and there is a measured effort to set the conditions for everyone in the squad to feel better and be able to relax. - This won't be a popular comment.
