What a pretty little town. I always love places that have cafes with outdoor seats, as there is nothing better than watching the world go by. Wishing you both a lovely week - Nettie

This is such a quaint and gorgeous town. I've so loved walking through those streets and enjoyed window shopping. Especially the bookshop- Murder and Mayhem. What a wonderful name- right up my alley! How refreshing and enjoyable is that summery vibe to see people enjoying those table and chairs, food, drinks, the pretty and festive bunting everywhere and the general hubbub of it all. The energetic kayak group, the trees, water, flowers. And to be treated to some lovely aerial footage too. I loved visiting Hay-on-Wye. Thank you so much for taking me there. 💖 🙏 🇳🇿 🙋♀️ 🇳🇱 PS Loved the Wildflower video too. It was just what I needed to have a 'slow down' moment. 🤩 🙏

Gorgeous area! The shops look fabulous - I would love wandering through to see what they have. The beginning intro tricked me! I thought Carol was casually saying hello! 😆

My family live there and I get to go and visit them often. In Welsh Hay town is called Y Gelli Gandryll and it is famous for the sale and celebration of books.

We go there often and usually buy a book or two. Thanks for adding a comment. Others read them, so it’s nice to get local knowledge added 👍🙏

That's really wonderful, a whole town known for books. Sadly, here in NY we only have a few left but luckily they have managed to survive the lockdown here the last few years.

Can anyone name all the county's that Hay has been part of over the years ?
@CarolandDerek2 жыл бұрын
Not sure but it’s on the border. Would be interesting to find out 🙏👍
@ladywalker8200 Жыл бұрын
Hay is definitely a Welsh town just on the border with England and is in the county of Powys. However, the Post office insist on marking it as Postal Herefordshire much to the chagrin of the Welsh people there. To make it that little bit more complicated a tiny part of the town, namely the Co-op is in fact in England although all the signs in the supermarket are in Welsh!!

Interesting, but the music became rather monotonous.

That is always tricky but we now try to avoid KZbin tracks, for that very reason, but it seems we got that wrong this time 😉 Thanks for commenting, knowing what people think is very helpful 👍🙏
