REDFALL'S ACHIEVEMENTS are a MISSABLE NIGHTMARE

In todays video we do something a little different and rather than getting all of the trophies in a game, I'm going to be getting all of the achievements on a game. With that being the Xbox Exclusive; Redfall.
Honestly quite a pleasant experience and I really did enjoy my time playing it. It's not perfect nor is it what we've come to expect from Arkane Studios, but it's what we got and it's not that bad.

Idk if if its different for the PS version but xbox doesn't have bronze gold diamond and platinum trophies just gamerscore its the amount of gamerscore that amounts to how high the level would be 😅 100g+is pretty much diamond and platinum trophies

I am currently attempting a Redfall 100% play through. If I could platinum Rise of Kong and 100% Pokémon Sword and Shield, I am sure that I could do the same for Redfall sans the online achievements.

I had proper high hopes for this game when it was announced, glad I didnt pick it up, im fairly sure you can avoid damage from ALL enemies by strafing left lmao. Are you going to be playing the new avatar game thats coming out in December I believe?

i feel you with the whole "no platinum=no play" thing. ive been an Xbox guy since 2008 when i got a 360 for Christmas, and i recently got 100,000 gamerscore a couple years ago on Xbox with my PS5 basically being a $500 paperweight so i was like "maybe i should play this". i then got the Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart platinum trophy, and that felt way more satisfying than Xbox achievements, so my obsession this year has been getting platinums and i'm up to 42 now. and since then i have played my Xbox probably 4 or 5 times

I used to be the exact same mate, closing in on the 200,000 mark myself but late into the PS4 lifespan I got into trophy hunting and all be it they are in reality the same thing, having at least some kind of acknowledgement and something to show off when you 100% all the trophies is nice and you feel like you’ve actually accomplished way more. For example I’ve done Metro Last Light on both Xbox and PlayStation and even though they have the exact same achievement/trophy list. Satisfaction factor on PlayStation was way higher than how o felt about doing it on Xbox. Nice job on the 42 platinums though my man! Think you may hit 50 by the end of the year?

@@WatsonKHD i definitely wanted to hit 50 by the end of the year, and i do have a couple more games lined up to get, but i don’t think i’ll get there to be honest. my ultimate goal is to hit 100 platinums without auto pops and no shovelware, and i never thought i’d be anywhere close to where i am now when i got my second overall platinum in January (i got Rift Apart done last year). i haven’t done any “hard” games (some people that don’t regularly play racing games like me may consider Gran Turismo 6 and 7 hard but they were fine for me), but i am definitely proud of the platinums i’ve gotten so far and i can’t wait to get more

I don't get why the Platinum Trophy is so important. Especially if I am going for 100% anyways, then it is just a nothing collectible. Maybe I am just weird, because it genuinely does nothing for me.

@@andreasottohansen7338 sometimes the trophy list can contain more miscellaneous objectives other than “100% the game”, so it can make you play a game in a way you otherwise probably wouldn’t have. yes sometimes those miscellaneous trophies are insane grinds for no reason, but it just feels that much more satisfying to get it done (as long as the grind isn’t inhumane to the point of suffering). to your point, the platinum to me personally is important because it’s a physical thing you can see on your profile to remind you that you did all that game had to offer, and it makes my brain happy to see the number go up every time i get one

In truth I found the game kinda cute, I only came across 2 bug, first one was after failing three lair invasions being I grabbed all the loot and because their wasn’t much of a penalty if their was one? And on the forth jump just when the countdown ended game would crash but as I loaded up all the gear from the invasion was all in my inventory so nothing lost but a few minutes of restarting the game, the second bug has to do with funny enough the second half of the game while doing a unmarked quest finding three daughter turned and yanking their keys, before continuing the main quest I was over by the area where the main vampire faction spawns, well I managed to trigger something before they spawned and well, when I reached the quest to choose between joining them poisoning them or killing them out right, I was locked into the final choice as the moment I reached their gate I was marked as hostile. But besides that red fall to me was far more fun to play through compared to all the other games that have been released on Xbox for a while now. Still stuck on needing the four player co op achievement but it’s not worth the time to me.

As always a good video! I was really hyped when i first heard about this game, but kinda not sad about not playing it! Just one thing, don't know if i am the only one, but the bobing of the achievment counter all the time is kinda taking alot of my focus, even when i try to ignore it, wouldn't mind if it only moved when you get an achievment, or not at all!

Didn't know anything about redfall until i seen an ad on the dashboard a day or 2 before it came out so i figured I'd pre install it since it's free and i thought it looked cool. Played it once that day and never touched it again.

If you dont have a discord, you really should start one. As much as I wouldnt want to subject anyone to playing Redfall, having a community that watches you and could chip in for problem like that in the future, I dont know if crossplay is a thing for people on pc and xbox for the game, last I attempted to boot up the game was only because it was on gamepass. Anyways, food for thought in the future. I would think you would have to fight people off with a stick if it meant getting into a video AND getting to help out someone whos content they like.

Glad you enjoyed! Typically I don’t mind, providing the games story is actually good and enjoyable or if it’s short. Games that have a long but ultimately terrible story with boring gameplay I hate if I have to new game plus. In terms of how I felt about it in this game I’ve got mixed feelings really. One hand I didn’t really enjoy the story so it was kind of like a CJ moment, but then again the actual gameplay itself wasn’t overly terrible and the story was short making getting back through it relatively quick

Can’t 100% remember but I’m sure you only need to complete the side missions in each safe house to clear an area. Although you do have to clear some vampire nests to get achievements related to them. I would say do them just to be sure, they’re really not that bad and most can be sneaked through and completed in just a few minutes

Let's be real here if your trying to get any achievement in redfall your wasting your time on a really trash buggy game if your worried about achievement in redfall your a lost cause nobody with a taste or sence of self worth is ganna be willing to play redfall at this point 😅 like i wouldn't be surprised if the CIA o4 FBI uses redfall as a form of crule and unusual punishment and a torture method for POW or criminals they need infomfrom. I bough and beat redfall when it came out and regret wasting the money to buy it and the time wasted playing it beat the game as quick as possible so I could sell it still redfalls so bad gamestop has had to keep lower its price and giving it as a way as a bonus for buying other stuff and it's doing so bad current my local game stop started putting the game in the dumpster and refusing to by used coppy of Redfield.... you know a games trash when game stop refuses to buy it stating they can't make a profit selling new or used coppys they already have my local game stop will not even offer a penny for redfall😂

Growing up in the UK, well at least in my area it was a word that was and still is thrown around a lot with no one paying any attention to it so for me the word isn’t that big of a deal but seeing as I now know how others feel about it I’ll refrain from it in future. so many people get offended by so many different words it’s impossible now a days to really know what you can and can’t say without having some kind of backlash.
