I Platinum'd Rise of The Tomb Raider and it was GREAT but BUGGY

In todays video we get the platinum trophy for Rise of The Tomb Raider. The second game in Crystal Dynamics reboot of the franchise. Thoroughly engaging story, many locations to explore and lots of combat and puzzles to be had. Very happy to have this platinum trophy in my collection!

i remember being like, nah, when going for the platinum thinking the time runs were gonna be impossible after 1 or 2 tries, never got close, guides later on helped and now i have platinums in all 3 of the survivor trilogy

Nice one! I agree, it does seem harder than it is but once you get a good strategy down the score attack runs are easy. Absolutely amazing trilogy of games to have on your list

i have platinum on legend anniversary underworld rise, getting shadow at the moment. 2013 is impossible since it has multiplayer trophies and servers on ps3 are empty :(

I'm halfway through this at the moment, no bugged trophies yet. I was really worried about playing it, after being stuck on 99.88% completion on Shadow of the Tomb Raider because of a bug not counting one of the side missions as been completed. Never been so pissed off with a game in my life as there is no work around to fix it

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a disappointing game, a walking simulator with cinematics interrupting you every 10 minutes.

i got platinum of the 'rise'. but not sure if i can get platinum on 'shadow'. the shadow's deadly obsession is too hard, namely the last part that has no save. you die and you have to start it over again. that boss fight is impossible for my skill. :)

Because a lot of game are tied with some dlc troph and those count for the 100% completion even if they are not includedfor just earning the plat, I hope i helped you out 🙂@@itszhim

I just got the platinum last night but I didn’t face any bugs thankfully. The first game is pretty easy once you find a boosting partner. The true commitment trophy is the hardest but there are plenty of ways to get it quickly also involving a partner

Speaking as someone who platted both PS3 Tomb Raider and PS4 Definitive Edition, I don’t blame you for passing it on. I had to get a group to get the majority of the multiplayer and finishing the rest solo grinding captures. Doing the multiplayer legit with whatever remaining players would be an absolute pain.

I completed the Platinum for the main Game and most of the DLC's Unfortunately have never been able to complete the Endurance Co-op as I have no one willing or able to join me in the Co-op:( Same with Tomb Raider 2013, Got all but 4 - 5 of the Multiplayer Trophies which for me are currently unobtainable. Nothing worse than seeing incomplete Games in my list of Platinums:/

I just stopped playing because I have a save breaking bug in Acropolis. The enemies are not spawning which is preventing me from continuing. This is on the Epic Games version of the game.

You can solo the first game’s multiplayer trophies except one. Open chests on map mindlessly for some hours to reach max level.

Its an amazing game. I'm currently playing it for first time also. If not for platinum, its worth to play simply. I will soon get platinum for Persona 5 royal. Persona 5 royal platinum is much easier than persona 5. Royal also has the DLC. Royal is like deluxe version of the game. Ps: this is also my first persona game.

Someone explain platinum trophy to me in regards to PC achievements. On Steam, RoTTR has 143 achievements. That is what we have to do to 100% a game. This game takes around 90 hours to 100%. Does platinum not include multiplayer achievements and DLC or what?? Finding it really ironic that the casual gamers also have like half of the work needed too, ha. Love the narrative focused video btw, must take a lot of work for the script!

I'm doing this platinum myself right now, but there's just some nebulous thing that I don't like about this game, I just feel constantly bored playing it, I don't even get why since I loved the Tomb Raider reboot and 100% it for fun. Maybe it's because of the sheer amount of collectibles in this one and all the backtracking you have to do?

the best tomb raider game for me these graphics are brearhtalking and this is a 2015 game...so a 8 year old game it's a 10/10 for me i love this reboot trilogy while shadow of the tomb raider was kinda weak but still really fun

Both Xbox and Steam combine all main game achievements and DLC into one list whereas on PlayStation the main game has its own list along with the platinum and then the dlc have their own separate list/lists

Im doing this game atm. I finished my first playthrough and this BS glitches made me miss out on 11! Achievements like not getting extreme survivor, and many more. The devolopers should be ashamed that they never fixed it and i hope i unlock them in playthrough 2

I will say my playthrough had quite a few buggy trophies, although I don’t show all of them in this video I did have quite a few. Luckily they were only combat related and eventually popped but I know people have had trouble with story related trophies. Hopefully they pop for soon 🤞

Thankfully I dont have to do the challenges, collectibles and side missions anymore (i do have to do them in the Baba Yaga DLC since that is bugged as well) , but simple achievements like headshot from 20m or more, or kill 6 enemies without reloading revolver just dont unlock. platinum of the rise is not that hard, it's difficult but not unachievable like the first reboot that requires multiplayers. now, shadow is a different beast, platinum requires the completion on the deadly obsession setting which i know i can never achieve it unless i want to spend months on trying. i gave up the platinum on shadow.
