Thanks for making this video! My Dad & I come up every September to Yellowstone/Tetons to photograph wildlife. I’ve never been able to capture the Grizzlies until today. Using clues in your video I was able to find where you found those bears. There were 11 Grizzlies in those fields looking for those roots. That area is a hidden gem for sure with loads of other wildlife as well!

Love the Pika shots, but I laughed out loud that you “quickly spotted” the pika in the rocks. I had 1 very cold and windy shoot with them in Rocky Mountain National Park. I could stare at the rocks forever trying to see movement. I managed a few average shots, and would love the opportunity to get more time with them. They are seriously cute, smaller and quicker than I thought! I love that your epic photo is of a squirrel. I go out looking for the “shot of the day” all the time trying to take the best photos of common subjects in my area. I shoot with the R5 and 100-500. I struggled with the light often in the early morning and evening when these mammals are most active, and often a good distance away. Hope to go to Yellowstone someday! Is there a best time of year to go that isn’t too crowded but still not freezing?

In the birding world we do a similar thing, but of course it is seeing and IDing all the birds you see, we call it a "Big Day". Some will limit it to birds they can photograph including record shots. I came across someone who was doing something similar but with insects. Beautiful captures and videos and thank you for sharing them.

Quick question. I heard that in the winter season, only the north and north-eastern parts of the park are open. Considering that one wants to photograph wildlife, are they likely to find abundant fauna visiting only this portion of the park in the winter(I'm planning on going in November)? Thanks

Hey, anyone can photograph grizzlies in YNP. Why don’t you try coming to Long Island and try it. Oh, wait,……never mind. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hey brother you’ve made my Saturday. I love the 24 hour concept. Fantastic sightings for a single day. Such a shame about the fox 😢- breaks my heart, as it also puts it at more risk of being hit by a vehicle. Nothing wrong with a squirrel being the epic photo-subject of the day - I’ve had so many trips where squirrels have saved me from an empty memory card. Bless their twitchy little noses 🥰
