This wave fin facade can easily be exported into any 3D modelling software, including Revit and Sketchup. This type of facade is gaining popularity for its shading capabilities as well as its aesthetic. The material can be changed to wood (timber) or metals such as extruded aluminium.

Both Revit and Rhino are great for architects. But, they also have their shortcomings. Revit is great for project management and documentation, though it lacks design freedom and form generation. Additionally, the course has a focus on designing a waved fin façade for a multi-storey, real life project.
