Great point about "overthinking" scales! It's good to train & learn the "rules" when you're starting but hopefully in time you can loosen up by experimenting. I tell my students "if it sounds cool, do it!" Thanks Tony, keep it up!

Thanks Tony. One thing I love about this tune is the way the 3 & 7 descend through the chorus. I was trying to make sense of the harmony and it clicked when I saw that movement. Beautiful composition and thanks for the updated lesson.

E.g. some ideas on where in the bar to place the chords, and discussing some of the patterns of the masters like Wynton Kelly or Red Garland? There is so much material out there on voicings, but rather little on rhythms...!
