Lynn Strong Wow! I saw your name and almost fainted! This is a song that helped me get through a rough time and is still helping me.. My mother was diagnosed with brain cancer in January 2013. She was hospitalized immediately the tumor was covering the right side of her brain. They put her on steroids for a week to shrink it some before surgery but told us she would be down for four months to recover from surgery and she would lose all control of her left side immediately after surgery but by the time the four months was up she would be a vegetable and wouldn't know she was in this world before she died. They ended up closing her up without removing the mass because a sis had grew on top of the tumor and burst so the drainage is what caused the migraines that led us to finding out about the tumor, the doctor saw that the tumor was cancerous removed only what he could. My mother waved her left arm and lifted up her left leg as soon as we were able to see her after surgery and said Mane Mane I still got it! Three days after surgery she got up and started walking. One week after surgery my mother left the hospital and went home refusing to give up on God like the doctors did her! We did chemo and radiation five days a week for six weeks and not once did she get sick or lose weight. I quit my job to be at home with her and God gave us some of the best times ever in which turned out to be almost 3 years instead of four months! During the last three months of her life she couldn't walk or talk but the Lord allowed her to keep her mind until she died! Thank you God! My son was just recently shot in the head and I just buried him on July 16th my 32nd birthday. After doing my moms hair for her funeral and actually placing her in her casket I thought I could get through anything and nothing could make me feel pain like that again, until my son... Through all of this God is still keeping me so if I can't say nothing else I'll just wave my hands.. This song has a powerful place in my heart..growing up as a church girl always attending church events. I was apart of the church choir I loved Jesus more than anything or anyone else. But I recently went astray I'm almost nineteen years old and I allowed myself to take part in worldly things that only hurt me in the end. I have had my faith tested by difficulties with finances, family and over all mental health. There have been times I just cried from being so overcome with worry and doubt...but God has always managed to keep me out the fire. I've been so close to the flame I smell like smoke and I've covered in soot. But never burned. My mother has a lot of medical issues and for a while she couldn't walk either.
