No recession 1/2 of the economy is in recession- but all the decision makers have so much descressionary income they can’t really relate. The ticking down of credit card debt is being forced by lenders pulling back or card holders maxing out. So thats a stupid read on that metric.

Rates may come down because they need to come down not because they should but because they shouldn't. A black swan event is inevitable because it should happen and the bigger the better because it needs to be. Because who could possibly know? Many, thanks to you David and others. Well isn’t the “ market” us all of us. So if we have the data on “ us” we should be able to predict. If 2/3 of economy is driven by consumer spending then we have no “ soft landing” and the analogy itself implies we have some sort of uncontrolled decent event

From 2020 to 2024 I got a zero dollar increase in my salary and my landlord's house doubled in price. Now for renewal F. If they can slowly ease maybe a full point over the next 6-12 months and let it be from there my guess is people complain that everything is too expensive but life continues on.
