Why have you changed Mobil 1 0w40 to Shell 5W40?
@WaveCeptor224 жыл бұрын
A few year ago Mobil changed the "New Life" oil into "FS". Since then i'm using Shell oil. The Shell 5W40 oil is imo a little bit better than the shell 0W40 oil. There is a online forum where you can check the data of a lot of different oils. Its called "Oil club".
@kissiel0214 жыл бұрын
@@WaveCeptor22 Yup, I've seen analiz of new Mobil 1 0w40 FS. The previous (New Life) was based on group IV PAO. New FS is based on Shell's GTL + about 10-20% PAO+ a little bit of esters. If u use the car on track, u don't you want to try 100% PAO oils, like Meguin Super Leiuchaft or Rowe RS 5W40?

@@abu-ali-aljehany Generally speaking the thicker oils are better for the life of the engine. Thinner oils are better for fuel efficiency and performance so it's a trade off. Car manufacturers don't want to go too thin and risk that the engine will fail early. It's all about saving them money.
