I noticed the old filter you removed was Sprinter fuel filter (#6510902952) with long drain hose. The new filter your installed is part number #6510902852 with short drain hose, which should be the original part for this vehicle. Are they interchangeable? The reason I am asking this question is that 6510902852 costs more than twice as the 6510902952. Thanks.

Hi Andreas. In this video, on 6:06 when you start the engine, it's produce some noise for about 5 to 10 second and after that it is disapear. Do you know the reason from what problem is that noise? I have the same problem on my c180 cdi, om651 engine, 2011. Kind regards

I have the same car also 2011 and it makes the same noise. It seems to be abs pump or vacuum servo/ brake booster. It actually makes this sound every time you press the brakes not only at engine start. At first i thought its timing chain but it really isn't. Anyway I drove with that sound from 92k km when I bought this car in 2017 till now 187k km and it still brakes fine.

It’s called fuel primming, noise is low pressure fuel pump which is normal

Kann man das Heizungselement vom Dieselfilter nicht wiederverwenden? Es gibt ja zwei Versionen: Mit und ohne Heizungselement (wo nur eine plastikblende und neuer gummidichtring dabei sind)

Yes. Its air in the fuel line pushed out.

The long pipe is the old version and the short pipe is the new one. You don't have to change it.

I think Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 is one of the best oils you can have for om651 engine.

Yes, Castrol Edge 5W30 C3 is a good oil. You can use it with no problems :)

Nice video, I have Diesel filter to change to so I would like to do it by myself. It looks like easy job altough i bought Diesel filter without electronic part. I have been looking diesel filter by VIN numer and get three options part numer for filter : A6510902852 which looks like yours from video and A6420920201 which is without this electronic part in it and the other one too. my question is that can I use this A6420920201 and swap this electronic part from the old diesel filter to the new one or i need to buy it the other diesel filter part number ?

OK problem sloved looks like in my W204 is A6420920201 fuel filter which need to transplant the sensor from old one to new one. I done it like minutes ago and all work fine. 10 minutes easy job. Thanks to your video. Greeting from Poland MB lover.

Es gibt viele verschiedene Dieselfiltervarianten z.B. auch mit verschiedenen Steckern und Heizelementen. Da würde ich auf Nummer sicher gehen und über die Fahrgestellnummer das Teil direkt bei Mercedes kaufen.

@@rht2net Da tröpfelt überhaupt nichts rum, solange man die weiße Kappe (zu sehen bei 3:09) am Ende des Schlauchs nicht entfernt. Und ja, dieses Plastikteil ist ein Wasserabscheider/Heizelement für Kraftstoffvorwärmung.

@@WaveCeptor22 Eher NUR Heizelement. Das Wasser wird wohl kaum von oben aus dem Filter scheiden. Es ist seit meiner Schulzeit schwerer als jedes Kraftstoff (zumindest fürs Auto) und sickert/sammelt sich am Boden des Filters. Der Schlauch ist ein Kraftstoff überlauf und sollte immer an den vorhandenen im Motorraum angekoppelt sein.

@@rht2net Gut, ich weiß nicht wie der Filter innerlich aufgebaut ist, aber ich denke mal das trifft auf Sie genauso zu. Ich habe jedoch den Vorteil das ich mich im Werkstattinformationssystem von Mercedes-Benz informieren kann. Und vor meiner ersten Antwort habe ich genau das getan, um sicherzustellen, das ich nichts Falsches schreibe. Und dort ist eben von einem Wasserabscheider mit Entwässerungsschlauch die Rede. Um den Filter zu entwässern wird die weiße Kappe entfernt und ein passender Schlauch aufgesteckt, welcher in ein geeignetes Auffangbehältnis führt. Durch einschalten der Zündung wird dann das Wasser über den aufgebauten Kraftstoffdruck über den Entwässerungsschlauch aus dem Filter gedrückt. Aber gut, wenn Sie mir nicht glauben wollen, ist das halt so...
