The synergy in this band is off the charts. the drums and bass are so tight throughout, that most focus on the percussion so much they forget the bass is so integrated with it. Haraguchi is a really talented, cute and bad-ass rockin' bass player. The twin guitars just shred and melt your faces with sexy power. and the cream on top of it all is Mayu's crunchy vocals. the backing vocals in many of their songs add such a polished full sound too. they have grown on me first through their covers and then through songs like this where the vocals blend in so well yet are so unique at the same time. phenomenal band. they have a powerful stage presence that just entertains you throughout their songs as well. (live or studio MVs)

The moment the bassist and the drummer lock in 5:15 🔥 The Haraguchi / Tamu combo laying down the rhythm is the best it gets. The talent and chemistry this band has is next-level.

So you kinda said that you want to see more videos from Nemophila so I bring some information about the band, members and their stuff. You're already know that Nemophila is a super-band cuz' each of the members already have played in other groups and have an experience behind their back. They formed in autumn 2019. Saki is also a guitarist in tne bands called Mary's Blood (you're already know them) and Amahiru. Saki is basically a very famous guitarist in Japan. She is doing English subtitles and translations for Nemophila's videos and live streams. She is playing on 7-string guitars by Killer (Japanese company) and she have a custom combo amp by Marshall. Hazuki is a second guitarist. Also quite famous guitarist in Japan. She is a guitarist in Li-Sa-X Band and a former guitarist of Disqualia. She is playing on 7-string guitars by Ibanez. By the way her hobby is baking breads ans sweets. Ai (Tamu) Murata - drums. Tamu is a very famous drummer in Japan and she have done many collaborations with different artists. She is a former drummer of Soramimi. Of course she is playing on Tama drums. Ai is her real name, Murata is her surname, Tamu is her nickname. By the way Ai means love in Japanese but you're probably know it by yourself. She have her own KZbin channel. Mayu - vocals. She is a former vocalist of Lipstick. Haraguchi-san - bassist. She is a former bassist of Holderlins. She is playing on 5-string basses from Sadowsky (American company) and Bacchus (Japanese company) the black one in this video is Bacchus Universe Series. She is also used to be a classmate of Mayu. Mayu and Haraguchi are much younger than other members and quite new on Japanese metal scene so I don't really know what to say about them. So Mayu recently got herself a hamster. And Haraguchi is often loses her keys from her home. / They have only 7 recorded original songs for now but they also have more than 20 covers of other popular bands (like Linkin Park, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Babymetal, Maximum The Hormone and so on) on their official KZbin channel. \ If you want to catch up you need to hurry up 'cuz Nemophila is realesing a new single on 13 of October.

Wave this is them at practice before the live stream its very raw they often set up the cameras to make a video . Fighter on the Oiran Extended Edition CD out earlier this year through JPU records UK its a full studio mix and frikin awesome the drums are insane on it .The synth is more in the mix i say synth but its Saki and Hazuki using midi systems with guitars to do the backing tracks .They do have some people helping with the management side of things but there independent Tamu has a studio space where they get together but a lot is done remotely from there homes (covid)they all have very good recording equipment .If you want the full experience just get a ticket for the online live on the 17th October where there will be many thousand's watching .There dropping 2 songs a week on YT up to this date. Don't sleep on them they are the best new band around at the moment and destined for the top .

Great reaction! I just discovered them and can't stop listening to them. One thing I love about them is you can see how much fun they have playing together so I hope they'll stay together for a long time. Try Dissension or Life to see very different sides of them. They will release a new song on October 13th and do an online show on 17th with a big announcement during it (1st album🤞🤞)

It is funny that everyone always stop the video during the interview, because of the bad subtitles, right before Saki starts translating everything into English for us. Poor Saki’s efforts are in vain again. LOL.
@zoltantari73363 жыл бұрын
Yeah they should provide cc or just a post edit note to wait for english translation. 95% of reactors stop the video before the end as you said. Poor Saki. Her efforts are in vain Thought Wave will watch it, but guess he was hyped too and couldn't stay put for a nother 30 seconds :)

Saki is also in Amahiru, another band with the bassist Frédéric Leclercq (Kreator/ ex-Dragonforce). They met when Mary's Blood opened for Dragonforce in Hong Kong in 2015. They have one album, the self-titled Amahiru released last November. They have some KZbin videos but since I have never seen a reaction I suspect they get blocked in nanoseconds.
@overtheedge47113 жыл бұрын
Not sure why, but Saki, when she's outside of Nemophila doesn't seem to draw much attention. Mary's Blood is criminally underrated, their new album that was released 3 days ago is great (the song they made a badly edited video for, Starlight, although Saki shreds all over it, is IMO one of the weaker tracks on the album), her 10th Anniversary solo EP, and Amahiru all get neglected, and I don't understand why. It's all high quality stuff. It might just be the lack of promotion outside of Japan .
@reel_mixer3 жыл бұрын
Your reaction is always something more. Nemophila flying at full speed is unstoppable! About Tamu singing - she has vocal lines in one of unreleased songs. 17.102021 will be livestream with big announcement (everybody wants it to be album release date, but we don't know, what it will be - to be exact), so it's a chance to check, if Breaking Out will be on setlist. Earlier, 13.10, is the release of new song Revive (there is a teaser for now).
@radioraffa3 жыл бұрын
They don't have a label. You'll hear about JPU records, but they are for Distribution of Japanese music to the western world (many Japanese musicians use it) . They help with translation and marketing. But don't have anything to do with creation and recording. Good thing that you can catch them Live this month too.

The synth for Nemophila is produced by Saki and Hazuki since they both have midi amps they use so no synth piano. That's why they need a backing track for performances since they would need a couple more guitarists to make the synth work. The Japanese branch of Marshall will cover events and if Saki is there her stack gets its own picture every time.

The drum and bass in the beginning is kinda like "You Could Be Mine" by Guns & Roses. Apparently that beginning drum part by Matt Sorum is hard as hell to play. He tried teaching it to Lars Ulrich but Lars got brain fried, I know, we're talking about Lars. But still, its universally said to be hard to learn.
@realdocloco3 жыл бұрын
One detail most people ignore is that "Tamu" is just a nickname - if you pronounced it the japanese way, "Murata Tam" sounds like a drum roll! Her real name is Ai Murata.
@jamesredman12633 жыл бұрын
The version I encountered was, "Tamu" was derived from her work on floor toms. It is tom with an "a" pronounced "ah" and a "u" suffix added. So the nickname "Tamu" was given to her referring to her drumming technique emphasizing the bigger drums.

@@partogiogi6934 I disagree, but I'm not here to diss on songs by the band. Some songs are better than others for sure, but that is personal opinion only. (Not fact). It's good that they have so many different sounding songs, which in turn lures many different genre'd fans into listening to them. Some bands bore the @$$ off me, every song virtually the same, vocalists that sound the same on everything they sing. Let's rejoice on a very talented band. Not all songs are for everyone, but that doesn't mean one song is better than another. It's all in opinion only. This band kicks @$$ on so many levels.
