Sometimes people think Koga is only slapping, but she's actually a very complete bassist, able to use every classic technique and play many different styles, from metal to jazz.

Many Reactors will have their problems with this, it's not an easy task, it's once again the art of GP

No, you're not alone. The lyrics really do make you think. ... I just wrote about it under Ryan's video that to me the current incarnation of GS has attained a certain 'maturity' or 'seriousness' without having lost the 'playfulness' of the past. And i really like it. :) _____________________ _"America invented rock. England improved it. It has MTH feels to me. This song doesn't really surprise me, GS has always liked to mix genres. I really enjoyed it.

Hi Wave - if you feel like they packed a lot into this one, wait until you listen to tracks 3, 4 and 5 🤣🤣

Thanks for doing this, GS delivers again. And what about all the pedestrians walking by like nothing strange going on - it's Japan :D

Jazzy. Certainly visually appealing. Lyrics that address isolation of 21st century young people in Japan. Very nice piano solo for sure. Great guitar work. I am adding this to my youtube jams list!

Despite listening to this song a few dozen times. I still hear Angie singing “Let me be.”

Because it's what I do to ignore lyrics (for better or worse) this is the first time I paid attention to these. They're pretty cool lyrics. This is great track! (Well of course it is GC, so of course it is)

If there was one word I *wouldn't* use to describe this track, it'd be "catchy". This is a hard listen - a jazz work out. I've been processing it for several days and still haven't found a hook. Most of the EP is similar, requiring serious listening and I don't have the time to give it the attention it deserves. No doubt it'll still sound fresh when I eventually give it another try.

Perhaps its because I've heard it so many times, but I definitely feel the lyrical "let it beat" section is a very catchy hook, its certainly been in my head most of the time...

@@homegnome2429It took me about four weeks to get into BakuBaku, so ask me again in about three months and I might have this track down! 😆 The problem with the "Let It Beat" refrain is that it's too short and simple to stick. If that kind of thing worked for me, I'd listen to k-pop although I don't really want to be hit with anyone's ddu-du.

I love the song but I do have questions… Are we looking at homelessness here? Angie on the ground where a hoodie with people just walking past gives me that feel…the lyrics don’t directly address it… Also how did they manage to film on the shibuya crossing? I don’t see the local police allowing that… If they did get permission to do it, including dropping the number of people crossing way down… How much did it cost..? Big movies do this stuff but they also drop tens of thousands on the local politicos … Also Angie with flag gives me a flash back to the Beatles album …where they are crossing the street…

I don't have all the anwers, but I think like someone suspected, that this was shot early during the day on a weekend, where the crossing is not as populated. Since they ususally don't have a big budget, I guess someone knew someone, who knew someone else who ... :D As to the meaning of the MV: There are 4 settings. 1. Angie is alone in her room, isolated (in Social-media style) 2. Crossing ways with a ton of anonymous people (with the blacked out eyes) 3. Seeing the same people not so anonymous any more, they are also just human (without the blacked out eyes) 4. Being part of a group of people you know well (the band) The message is. how hard and scary it is to go out of your tiny little isolated room into the big wide world, being afraid of what's out there, but slowly realizing that other people might feel the same way and in the end they are only humans too. And that this fear might make you miss your live, so go out, live it and just Let It Beat .... At least that's what I got from the MV and thought they might intend with the storyline. Never associated Angie on the ground with homelessness, but rather feeling alone, scared and bare in front of many strangers. Just my 2 cents - Cheers :)

to me it feels like the concept of being around tons of people but still being alone.
