WAVERLEY's 78th Anniversary Cruise on the THAMES

The Paddle Steamer WAVERLEY was launched on 2nd October 1946. On 2nd October 2024, the 78th anniversary of it's launch, WAVERLEY sailed on the River Thames from Southend Pier to London, passing under Tower Bridge twice. It then sailed downriver back to Southend Pier In each direction, WAVERLEY called at Town Pier, Gravesend. During the cruise, WAVERLEY was dressed overall in flags to commemorate the occasion.
