Hey ! Glad you asked this question - the logic is if the power is odd, you move to the other side (irrespective you were on + side or - side ). If the power is even you stay on same side where you were present. So if you were on upper (+) side, you move down (- side) if power is odd & if power is even you stay on upper side only. Hey 👋 glad you asked this question. You simply need to draw the wavy curve and see the hump for local maxima and minima. The local maxima and minima of a function are the turning points with respect to the graph of the function. Just see the top and down points formed locally which may not be the minimum and maximum for the whole function but locally it is. Alternate way is to use derivatives to get the values. Sir like in the question you r solving .. there are 3 critical point ..if we have to find no. Of maxima or minima then..there is one maxima and one minima in (-2,5) ....or there is 3 maxima 1 minima in (-infinity,+infinity).....plz reply ........what interval we have to choose ........​@@MathsMadeEasywithAB
