Took me too long to listen to this one. Absolutely wonderful.

much respect, and I enjoyed the first song, but when I got to the second the sound quality was so deliberately degraded it was idiotic. I imagine it would have sounded much better in it's raw state. No need for the overly studio produced "home made effect" jeez...… scrambled for my mute key. I'll definitely try the rest of the album later though, because she's phenomenal, but uuuugh that second track...my phone would record it better

She recorded this whole album in her bedroom. It's not trying to sound lo-fi, this is the way Katie recorded it.

I really enjoyed the second song, it did sound more grainy but I think it could be from an effect mixed with the natural static of the microphone. A bedroom doesn't have the best acoustics, lots of room for sound to bounce around.

Maybe it’s better to ask how they recorded it or if it was degraded? Sometimes we assume correctly but other times we can be really off… hope that helps
