Hi Kia, The beaded wax in the hot wax (which is the one you use without the strip). You just heat it up in a wax pot and then turn it off and let it go hard when you are not using it. It should be the consistency of honey when you are using it. Karen

its not unsanitary, obviously she cleans the spatula between clients, and most people use wooden sticks which they change per client or area? this vid really helped me thanks karen xx

Hi, Nice to see someone with some common sense. Glad I could be of help and appreciate the back up. Karen

Hi Kia No you don't add anything at all, the beads will melt into a honey like consistency. When you turn the pot off it will turn into a hard block. The beads have been designed simply to make it easier to put the wax into the pot in the first place. It used to come in a big 1 kg block and you had to use a hammer to break it up, hence it would end up all over the salon. This is a much better way of doing it. Karen

Hi, no they are actually very different waxes, different consistencies. The strip wax won't work without the strip and the hot wax doesn't need the strip and won't actually be removed with one.

Hi Jodi, This is a very old video, we now only teach the single dip method, and gloves, even though they are not yet mandatory, we encourage all students to wear them.

Hi Karen the pink wax that u use, is it beaded wax or the hot wax strawberry shape... Will definitely order as it just looks amazing. Please do reply thanks...

Hi Karen, Do you use a pre-wax lotion or cleanser prior to using the hot wax? (eg Caron Pre-Wax Cleanser??) Thanks, Bonnie
@Beautycoursesonline12 жыл бұрын
One is strip wax and one is hot wax. I prefer to use the strip wax for larger areas of the body, i.e. legs, arms, back and the hot wax for the sensitive areas such as face, underarm and bikini as it is much gentler.

Hi ,do you teach speed waxing in any of your videos ?
@Beautycoursesonline10 жыл бұрын
Hi, I don't really believe in speed waxing as such. To do a thorough job you need to take your time and make sure you have a clean finish and no pulls in the skin. The faster you try and go, the more likely you are to miss areas

Firstly, Double dipping is not unsanitary..Kissing is unsanitary, but we all do it. Getting up and walking out is paranoia at its best. For years we used metal spatulas without incident. Following correct procedures and having regular inspections from the health dept. who specifically check the temperature of the wax to ensure bacteria, if any, will not survive. Having said that, eventually it will become compulsory to use a new spatula every application. Long live paranoia
@jennydramaeyes4 жыл бұрын
Actually double dipping is VERY unsanitary if the wax is hot enough to kill the bacteria the client would get burned! A new stick should be used EVERY time
