Is there a better alternative for hot wax? Have you tried sugaring yet?
Sugar waxing works much better than traditional wax. It is a less painful method which gives a clean result. And the good news is that sugaring is available in Auckland at Bare Care

this is the Egyptian waxing 🇪🇬❤ Sugaring is a traditional ancient Egyptian method of hair removal.❤🇪🇬 This technique is safe and 100% natural, using a paste made from lemon🍋, sugar and water. There are no chemical additives and it can be applied on any body part. It's applied to the skin and removes hair in the direction of the hair growth It is called by the local name "Halawa". 😊🍬🍯

Hi Kaluzi, it's a good point! In fact experience and technique make the difference. Sugaring is just a tool in the hands of a waxing specialist. Ingrown hairs may also depend on skin type and aftercare procedures. But even people with "problem" skin have much fewer issues with "ingrowns" if sugaring hair removal procedure has been done properly and sugaring specialists gave the right recommendation on how to care the skin after epilation. In my personal hair removal practice in Auckland, I really have only a few customers out of thousands who have issues, but the rest of the customers are getting rid of the problem just a few procedures after. Unfortunately, there are plenty of videos which are teaching how to do sugaring in the wrong way. If you are interested here is a link to my post about ingrown hairs barecare.co.nz/ingrown-hair-after-waxing And here are general tips on how to care the skin to reduce changes getting ingrown hairs barecare.co.nz/blog/82-sugar-waxing-aftercare Best Regards, Marina

Perfect! Thanks! (: And what happens over long periods of time of waxing, does it make it semi permanent or just the same durations? Also, no ingrown and no hurt skin means it won't feel stubbish any and a shirt or any contact to the chest, stomach, and back will have no irritation but just smooth touch? Thanks. (:

Hi Seth, thanks for raising this question. In general, sugaring has better lasting results, because it has a higher ratio of extracted vs broken hairs. Also, sugaring reduces regrowing hairs ratio and makes them thinner and brighter. Regarding sensitivity, it is less sensitive, because professional sugar wax in combination with the right skill doesn't pell the skin off. But it is not 100% pain-free, people still feel some discomfort caused by hair extraction. But if you do hair removal on regular basis and don't overgrown hair, then it goes much smoother with the next session. The average time between sessions is 5-7 weeks. Very important note, about men's chest waxing. It's the most sensitive zone and it requires serious aftercare and increased hygiene standards. The reason is more intense sweating in the chest area and shirts which have continuous contact with skin. Those two factors often cause irritation with following ingrown hairs. I would give two main recommendations for men, who decided to epilate chest. 1. Strictly follow after-care recommendations, given by a person who performed hair removal for you and go an extra mile with personal hygiene. 2. Do it regularly or don't do it at all. Regular sessions give better experience during the session and less trouble with ingrown hairs. Kind Regards, Marina

I like hair removal by pulling it out. Eventually, the hair should quit growing back. It's called traction alopecia. It worked on my unibrow which I started plucking when I was 13. I haven't seen a single hair in that spot in several decades.

Hi Jayden! I didn't have experience with wax for ages now, but I reckon that dispatch in the same direction of growth will cause hairs to "slip" off the bandage. BTW, it seems to me you are comparing bandage sugar waxing with hot wax. But this video is about original sugaring which uses a completely different approach. The video from below describes sugaring in a better way: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6Xah4ewfsprosU Kind Regards, Marina

Can anyone say how I reduce hair growth on my face after sugar wax
@beautyhubnz7563
@beautyhubnz7563 Жыл бұрын
Hi M.D. hope my answer finds you well. It really depends on your situation. Usually sugaring works well for female facial hair removal, because it is gentle to the skin, but if your issue is bigger than just "baby hair" and if you get dark hairs to regrow, then I personally would recommend electrolysis as the safest procedure. It is not cheap, but the risk is low compared to a laser.

Hi Uma, sugaring makes hair thinner and brighter, also reduces regrow ratio. Which means a longer time between sessions. But ofcourse the result depends on the experience of the person who is performing hair removal. If you are new to sugaring and would like to see the difference, I would recommend giving it a try in a trusted salon with a good reputation. Sugaring may be challenging for DIY and home usage at the beginning. Kind regards, Marina

Just shave or get laser hair removal tool. No point in yanking the hair out because they can grow right back in 3 days. If you want no hair, you should attack the growth cell under the skin, not hair.
@beautyhubnz7563
@beautyhubnz7563 Жыл бұрын
Hi Alan, I can't agree with your statements. Hair will not grow in 3 days if the procedure has been done correctly. Usually, our customers have sessions between 6-8 weeks and most customers get good results from a hair reduction perspective. Speaking about laser hair removal, it is definitely over-advertised, while long-term side effects are hidden from marketing materials. The side effects which most customers sign in prior to the laser procedure are just the tip of the iceberg, which doesn't explain what happens to deep tissue. I would recommend going to pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/ and searching for laser-related side effects or particularly for "lipid peroxides and thymine dimers in human skin" or "skin pigmentation" as an example. I personally spent months doing research prior to buying laser into our place, but I came to the conclusion that I'm not ready to accept that kind of risk, because when you are a provider of laser services, the question is not "if", but "how many people will receive unwanted issues with the skin". It is just statistics, but marketing people will never tell you this, while salespersons advise you to pass the risk to the customers and ask them to sign the paper about potential side effects. Kind regards, Marina

@@beautyhubnz7563I myself had a horrible reaction to laser. It caused swelling of my face and bumps, both within 24 hours of treatment. Its not for everyone. I work with the public so there was no way I could just tough it out. Both sessions this happened and it took 3-4 days to subside.

@alan4292 Not an option for everyone. a.) laser can be cost prohibitive and b.) for dark skin, only a couple of versions is affective and they can be even more expensive. Nothing for home use on the market yet.

@beautyhubnz7563
@beautyhubnz7563 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Reem, thanks for the comment. The video gives only an overall point of view. Sugaring is a more complicated procedure than simply apply and dispatch. Sugar wax is a good tool in hands of a technician, while the result depends on the skill of the person who is performing hair removal. Unfortunately, the most top-rated videos show wrong sugaring technics and do not highlight small details which have a major effect on the final result. Also, if there was an issue with ingrown hairs before, then it may require few sessions to get rid of them, depending on the epilation zone and skill of the technician. Anyway, it would be good practice to raise this issue with the specialist who made sugaring for you. So the skill of a sugaring specialist is important, but another important part of sugaring is aftercare. There are a few simple, but effective rules which help to reduce the chance of issue with ingrown hairs. Please read this short article from the link below: barecare.co.nz/sugaring-aftercare Kind regards, Marina

Am I the only one that sees the hair bulb when I wax
@beautyhubnz7563
@beautyhubnz7563 Жыл бұрын
Hi Kassie, the amount of "visible hair bulb" in one go makes the difference between sugaring and traditional wax. it is also important to note that different people have different variations on the strengths of hair bulbs, the strengths of hair, and how deep hair root seats are. People with brittle hair and deep, strong hair bulb are the most vulnerable to the quality of hair removal methods and if there are too many broken hairs left behind, then it causes a lot of issues with ingrown hairs. Sugaring in the right hand reduces the number of broken hairs and extracts hair bulbs along the direction of hair growth even if the hair is brittle
@madelynsargent4620
@madelynsargent4620 7 ай бұрын
I do too, it's normal. The hair bulbs are the roots. That means you're doing a good job!! You're attacking it at the root meaning it'll take longer to grow back and you've done damage. I love waxing. It's saved me soooo much time.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your experience, but I think the statement is not quite correct. This video just shows fundamental differences between sugaring and traditional wax. But sugaring is just a tool, similar to camera in hands of a photographer. That fact that place where had negative experience use sugar paste doesn't mean they know how to use it. Bumps after hair removal sessions may cause by several reasons. The most common - broken hairs, infection, poor after care. You could try to follow those simple after care recommendation to reduce chances of ingrown hair. barecare.co.nz/sugaring-aftercare Kind regards, Marina

Laser is great for the business, but not always great for skin. Overheating of deep tissues of skin may cause serious outcomes. You could do your own research on www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov Regarding DIY level lasers, they are not effective for the majority of people. It is not capable to emit enough power to burn down the vessels around the hair follicle to prevent hair nutrition.
