Awesome video Steve Hedges mate !!😲🙂👍. So lovely to see the Waxwings🙂. Super sharp photographs too📸📸❤️. I was amazed when I found out that someone took a photo of a Waxwing in Bushy Park recently😲. I didn’t think that they’d even make an appearance in parts of Surrey😃. I have yet to see one🤞.

Brilliant Steve. Recently I have photographed these lovely birds on a busy road in Orpington, Kent and a suburban garden in West Malling. Up to 50 Waxwings were seen in a tree on a roundabout close to a Waitrose supermarket.

Hi Steve. Excellent video. I was at that location myself on 6th January 2024 and I know you what you mean about the traffic noise! The area was not one that you would immediately associate with wildlife but what an experience. A “Waxwing winter” has long been overdue and it has been brilliant that our County of Essex has had a long-staying and reasonable sized flock to enjoy (still present yesterday). Like you, I also came away with many hundreds of photos of these photogenic birds. They approached extremely close to the admiring birders and photographers when they came down to feed on the berry bushes. They did not seem at all concerned by us which is not surprising since they don’t see many humans in their northern Scandinavian breeding range where I have also watched them, albeit in single pairs.

It's strange to have such a great wildlife experience in such an industrial setting. It just shows though that if there's food the wildlife will arrive. Excellent video and stills of these lovely birds Steve. We were in Norfolk recently and drove to see them on an industrial estate in Norwich. Always good to see and I managed to take quite a few photos too. Take care mate.

Really enjoyed this video steve. I got lucky last week with around 8 waxwings over at chafford hundred unfortunately the light was rubbish but was still nice to see the waxwing
