I loved this song before, but in September, it gained a whole new meaning. My precious aunt passed away suddenly. She was only a few months away from divorcing a man who had abused her for over 20 years, the effects of this abuse was what killed her. She passed away on a Saturday and the next morning I was helping set up at my church and the band was practicing. They played this song. In that moment, many questions were in my mind. What was going to happen to her 6 year old daughter and 17 year old son? What was her abuser going to do to them? What was he going to do when we arrived at her house? How was I going to go on without her? Why did God let her go so soon? When I heard the chorus, I burst into tears. God IS the way maker in every situation. He is in control. Even though everything isn't worked out yet I still trust that He goes before us and makes a way through the storm.

I love this cover so much. The first time I heard it was when I was sick with Covid in August 2020. I was in the hospital for a week, and almost got put on a ventilator. One of the nurses that took care of me put KZbin on the TV for me and we listened to this together, and then she prayed with me for healing. I got to go home a week later and was on oxygen for a month, but made a fu recovery. This cover helped me in so many ways.

I’ve been struggling with depression for 3 years now I found out 2 years ago now, it’s hard to talk about my past, I’ve tried to tell my mom but she didn’t listen and she said I wasn’t even though I know I am, I had all the symptoms, I know I’ve been dealing with anxiety for awhile now too, in all the years I tried to have hope that it would go away I would pray every single night hoping the depression would go away but it didn’t and I eventually lost hope and faith in god, 2 years ago my sister was going through a divorce but they never did, my sister stayed here everyday till 9:30 and those days were so stressful that year I failed my school because I couldn’t have help from my mom, all I heard was screaming or crying all day, I have 2 nieces and 1 nephew it was very difficult with the first which was my nephew he was in the NICU for a week or more he was tongue tied and they did therapy for him but it wasn’t working he’s now turning 5 this October he’s still not talking as clearly but it’s improving year by year, he isn’t potty trained, he will do number 1 but not number 2,, in that time I was struggling and trying to stay strong for my sister trying not to break down infront of her because I care for her so much that I felt her pain but she doesn’t enjoy me as much, I would cry myself to sleep every night for awhile, my sister and brother would always call me ma,as, I hated my body the way I looked and myself in general, my depression got worse over time and I was having suicidal thoughts, I was always yelled at by my mom for just one question, I had no one to help me until I opened up to my best friend, she was busy at the time and couldn’t help me, I was breaking down crying to I decided to try to play a game and ended up making a friend on the game and we chatted, I opened up to her and she helped me so much, I wouldn’t be here today if she didn’t come in my life when she did, after awhile I started to hide all my emotions felt nothing and I started to bottle up my feelings after awhile, I couldn’t get any help from anyone except support and comfort ,g mom couldn’t give me, my dad was always gone at work till dinner and took and shower and went to bed, I love my dad and I know we would have a great connection with him if I saw him more, after corona came out I got even worse even though I’m homeschooled it felt the same but all the things we were supposed to do that year all got cancelled especially things I planned to do with my dad, I went back to crying myself to sleep every night, after 2020 passed I felt like 2021 is the year where everything is going to get better, I have hope again, and now I’m doing a bit more better, I’m only 12 turning 13 this Sept , stay safe y’all hope you have an amazing year, stay strong and positive and remember your beloved, have a amazing year whoever reads all this
