I was shocked to see the midsole teardown. No top loaded shank like previous models. They probably felt the shoe had enough support features to avoid sacrificing comfort. And what the hell is up with the upgraded rubber? Testers saying the new traction/rubber compound is probably the best ever. Li-Ning/WOW is consistently improving their models year over year.

This shoe seems to me will be a budget WoW 11 for me. That shoe, while extremely good is just not affordable so I think I'll just stick to these. And again awesome review as always doc! It's very rare nowadays to come across these kinds of thorough and comprehensive shoe review that also backs hard science behind them in one short video. To me it's just highly commendable and I very much appreciate your hardwork. 👍👍👍

Brandblack did something similar with the Rare Metals by not only extending the tongue but also the eyelets up the front of your ankle while keeping the low-top feel in the back and lockdown is great on those models 💪

I have the all city 12's and love them. (thanks for the recommendation) I use them for pickleball. Love the cushion and responsiveness. I have a narrow foot and the all city 12 fit perfectly. the outsole wore out in one outdoor season but my fellow players sometimes go through 2 shoes in a season. Are the all city encore's still narrow and can you use them on outdoor courts?

Noticed that the material used for the top portion of the toes varies depending on the colorway. Green is mesh, Pink is suede, and the rest are a leather material. Do you know how the breathability and weight differs for each material? I got the green one because I still liked the colours and feel mesh would be the best for both. It was also the one tested in this video

Asking because I just got these in the blue colorway, I've played in them for about 2 hours and I'm experiencing the stiffness around the first lace eyelet that you talked about in this video. Again, they decided not to make half sizes, which I'l never understand. I've noticed, whenever WOW makes bigger half-sizes... they sell out first because people want their true size. Really having trouble purchasing these knowing I'm going to either have to go down a half size or up a half size.

If they used breathable panels like that on Jordan retro’s, and used a more comfortable foam, it would be such a game changer! But they have to do it in a way, that they still look like OG’s. Just change inner foot panels, and tongues!

It is to be honest, and the normal AC 12 is easily the best outdoor shoe. Li Ning/WOW has been killing the hoop shoe game lately. Price, quality, durability, comfort, and even support. It’s highly impressive the products they’re putting out with consistency and striking color-ways.

I have been watching a ton of your videos lately and I have narrowed my choice down to the 12 Encore or the Curry 12s. My foot is flat and I usually wear a 12 normal or 11.5 wide. In tighter shoes my the bottom of my foot feels like its burning but I am using the Lebron Witness 7s and they are super comfortable but they might be the most unstable thing I have ever used. Could you recommend either of these 2

I’m not sure if you’re still looking but I’ve USED both and the grip on dusty courts on the encores is way better. you have wipe way less. but it has a weird fit and hurts more. both are quite breathable but the encores are better overall
