the ending of the story is her losing her faith Once she opens the artifact and finds it empty, she stopped believing; no matter how many coins you gather, there is no reward at the end. Suffering for faith is worthless. She doesn't have to pretend anymore. There is no Devil or God; it's just her, alone with her thoughts. It's similar with the guy. By the end, he simply didn't care anymore, he threw away Indika and his faith and sold the artifact for nothing so he could play music.

Pretty interesting. I feel like the demon got a point. There's no good without bad, no wealth whitout poverty ECT.. Everything just coexist. You can't have one without the other. And when he said that the more she wants to get rid of him, the less likely this would happen. Maybe that's probably be reason the guy didn't get his arm back. He was believing too much in God. Too much attachment. And because of that, no miracle. I feel like the moral of the story is just : let go of you attachments.

They probably could've done a better job at portraying that imo. Like some dialog of her coming to the realization that it's empty and she is all alone, etc.. They kinda just left it up to the player to interpret it and as you can see, Lirik and majority of chat clearly didn't come to that conclusion and how it looks is it just ends and the demon is gone. Hell, you could even argue that god granted her wish as she was shaking the artifact and rid her of the demon.

It might also be that she was "forgiven" for her sins. God is not about filling the artifact. It is about mental change through faith. She basically ran straight to God after committing a sin. The end is open ended though, we cannot know if this is a peak of her faith or otherwise.

So this is an atheist game? I just wasted 3 hours watching someone play a Dick Dawkins simulator, when I could have just gone to r/atheism.
@keenshibe75298 ай бұрын
Yes, its an atheist game clearly from the beginning. But it's also visually appealing, puzzles unique, and voice actors are great. We got to remember games are a form of expression and if it's not aligned to your beliefs, it's okay to just not comment.

Did you think it was a nun simulator?

Just because the game criticises religion doesn't mean it's an "atheist game". I think it asks a lot of important questions about god, faith, childhood trauma, and using religion to cope with a harsh reality. You can label it as an atheist game if you want, but you're ignoring the points it's trying to make through the story.
