Came here for Misha but stayed for all the 3 wonderful dads. Loved listening to them talking about their fatherhood life. I have always heard mothers talking about all aspects of motherhood but never about how fathers feel. It was great to know a father's point of view...what challenges they go through, what they like about being fathers, etc. ❤❤❤ Just wish to find a man great enough as these guys.

Terry, I understand the train talk😂🤣 😉 But really, this series is just gold!!! It's wonderful to hear and see many men being able to have deep conversations like this about life at it's core. I'd even like to be a part of these conversations some day😁

“Does it take cancer for you to treat me like this? ‘Cause I do this for you every day!” Ya and that’s why we get the flowers and don’t get them for men. If men did this stuff for us on a regular and it was just regular behavior, then they be getting more flowers from us. My mom works more hours, does the finances, get’s minimum wage at a job that treats her like she isn’t worth anything, comes home and gets treated the same by her husband but only slightly better, does literally all the shopping, hand sews things like quilts and masks and seat covers and jackets and mends clothing, does literally all the cooking and cleaning, sets up all the appointments for everything including hospital and medicine and auto care. She takes my dads car to the car place and if needed takes the day off work to do it. All my dad does is go to a job that operates just like a minimum wage job but he gets paid more than minimum wage, he works less hours and when he comes home all he does is watch TV, drink alcoholic beverages, complains if there isn’t any alcoholic beverages, get’s angry if he isn’t left alone unless it is to tell him that there’s food ready for him to eat...and we have to either wait to tell him until after we are done fixing our plates or wait for him to fix his as we stand out of the way until he is done. He can’t even be bothered to arrange everything for his own truck...that she took time to shop around and got him a beautiful Cadillac Escalade...to it’s regular appointments unless it’s the only option. He can’t even be bothered to fix a toilet that will no longer flush even though she got the parts for it. He tells her to do it herself. He never likes being told what to do. Never buys her any gifts ever. All he does is eat, drink, sleep, toilet duty, work, and tv. He might go out with friends from work to a bar and spend more money than needed, but she never spends time with anyone cause she is too busy buying his alcohol, paying bills, getting groceries, buying him socks and britches and shirts big enough to fit him. She raised their kids while working while he was deployed in the military. She gets his cough drops that he eats like candy because he smokes cigars. She doesn’t like it because she has asthma. She takes him out to eat and pays not him. Why the fuck do men get paid more than women? I understand some men are just in thinking women are leeches, but men can be too and women put up with it because it has been a normal occurrence for us especially in the 40’s and 50’s. Do we get to complain? What label do we get if we do compared to the label men get when they complain? Men need to stop acting like it is a chore to take care of us. It should be an active responsibility you want to step up to, we women can carry the relationship....if it’s even a real true to form relationship at that point if only one person is taking an unequal load of it unnecessarily while asking the other to step up...it does not mean we want to carry the relationship. Every relationship is different so this might be reversed or inapplicable to some, but it is so common and it is sad. What is my mom getting from him other than the income he provides? Breaks my heart. I love my dad and I know he cares about us, but he is being neglectful, prideful, ostracizing, and bull-headed. We don’t want to be forgotten and pushed away. I think maybe he does it because he doesn’t want to face and address the fact that there is some things he should be doing to help out or reach out instead of just criticize others for not doing or being good enough. If my comment is used for anything I don’t want my name to be known. I don’t need backlash. But I see this dynamic not in everyone else’s family but it is common in varying degrees and it is not okay.

Thanks to all 3 of you guys.Tricky times we are experiencing right now, and a ton of feelings to manage..... fear, doubt, anger, guilt, sadness, etc., but also gratitude. As a designer I'm lucky to have some work still happening at the moment, but as grateful as I am for the work, there are days all these feelings leave me feeling uninspired, and I find myself being complacent doing nothing but trying to manage my own feelings, and for so many others as many friends and family tend to share with me because I'm told i'm a great listener. Great to hear there are other dudes experiencing some of the same stuff.

This is wonderful because everyone is opening up their hearts. There is nothing lame about genuine dialogue. This really resonates with me.

Is it really a thing for men to be providers and have that mentality or is it is actually programmed and wired into them through cultural training? Do women feel this affect on them to? In what ways? Is it just like men or is it different? In what situation? Single motherhood? Or in a hetero-marriage?
