In the 60s when I was in the Navy I had to show a flick on the Mess Deck one evening. It was good but we thought it was a home movie. About 8 years later when I was in NYC I went looking for an album of the music. Most people looked at me like I was stupid. But, I went to the Record Hunter and they got the album for me. I still play it on my 33rpm player. I dred the day when it don't work no more.

Like Carrie Fisher says: Everyone is good looking when they're young. So true. Such a shame Waylon got into drugs, but I think a huge reason for that was what he said to Buddy Holly, wishing his plane would crash, but he was only kidding at the time. Buddy wished Waylons bus would break down and Waylon said "Well I hope your plane crashes" not thinking it would actually happen. Can you imagine the guilt that must have plagued this guy? He said it took him 20 years to get over that,
@That_AMC_Guy4 жыл бұрын
It bothered him the rest of his life. How can you get over saying that to the dude who you basically owe everything to? Buddy gave Waylon his start in music. Buddy paid for Waylon's first ever recording session and even played guitar for him. If it weren't for Buddy, Waylon might've been nothing more than a radio personality back in Lubbock.

A club thats long gone called "Pat Taylors" in a little town outside of Nashville called Scotsboro. I know this because my grandfather is the guy standing to the right of the screen playing bass behind Waylon. His name was Tom Stuart and died in 2018 at the age of 94. My grandpas band was "The rhythm wranglers" they were the house band and was asked to be in the movie.
